Hasse på Sjökanten

Our whole family enjoyed the hotel. €1200 including breakfast for 4 people, as listed on their website. The receptionist was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was very complete, although we would have liked a bit more fruit. It's good value for money and very enjoyable in the warmer months since the beach is right next to the hotel. It's an 8-minute drive from the city center with plenty of parking. The only downside is that checkout is at 11 am on a Sunday. For the price we paid, €300 per person with buffet breakfast, it definitely deserves its 5 stars. I'll keep it in mind if we stop in Jönköping again.

Nice double room. Comfortable bed. Very nice view with restaurant along the lake. Very bad that there were no TV channels and no possibility to stream. I guess they don't want to pay when the analog network was closed which is stingy and brings down the rating. Expensive prices in the bar!

Eat or maybe not! Breaded pork chop, fries with a sauce. Served on a baking sheet lying on a regular plate. 195kr A battered chop breaded and reinforced a little too much. Then frozen. It was thawed which the staff finally admitted when it had a cold spot. Dry and hard. French fries that were kind of not done at all. No color at all! These were under the dry hard piece of meat which did not make it easier to cut the meat. The sauce was an attempt to season a bearnaise with some chopped greens. I think it was bought ready-made. What I liked was that this was their cheapest dish. 195kr!!! They wanted 325kr for their pasta with beef fillet!! There was a strange spicy smell in the room that you could smell when you entered the room, I guess it was from some dish they were making but they don't make any food, they heat up food, all food. Have you booked, they asked me, there were 2 people in the room out of maybe 130 seats. I asked if they were waiting for a couple of busloads but he said they had to ask and wrote my name on a list. Then I got a plywood board with a paper clip on it. In it was a dirty menu card with "dog ears" It was by far the worst food I've eaten out in many years. Then I eat many dishes out every week anyway. 2 stars are only for the window table facing the water. Ps/ three more people came, all of whom were clearly talking about their food.

The food was good.

Cool room with comfortable beds. Always friendly staff. The only downside was that the underfloor heating didn't work in the toilet.

Was here for Christmas dinner Perfectly ok food

There were 5 of us who had Christmas lunch on 16/12 and it was a disappointment: The food was sloppily laid out and there was not enough filling. The explanation that the omelet was missing filling was that one person was allergic (luckily that person was not allergic to everything else). It was the fourth year in a row that we were there and probably the last time.
