About This Event
Malmö Pride is one of southern Sweden's biggest LGBTQ+ events, the main Pride festival for the Øresund region. People come from all over Skåne, from Copenhagen, and from the wider Scandinavian LGBTQ+ community.
The festival feels like Malmö itself: multicultural, politically minded, and it tries to reach communities bigger Pride events sometimes miss.
A parade goes through central Malmö. The week also brings club nights, cultural events, and debates. Everything feels organized with the political seriousness you'd expect from Swedish Pride.
It takes place in early July, opening Sweden's Pride season ahead of Stockholm Pride in late July/August and Gothenburg Pride in August. In 2026 a second Pride parade also marches through Malmöfestivalen in mid-August.
