Portrait of Rita

Saturday, 15 August 2026 · 19:00 – 19:00 360.ch, Lausanne, Switzerland

About the event

In 2023, near Charleroi (Belgium), Mathis, 9 years old, is the victim of racist insults. The school calls the police: his mother, Rita, discovers her son on the ground. From this act of racist violence, author and director Laurène Marx (Pour un temps sois peu) and Bwanga Pilipili, actress, author and director, choose to tell the story through the journey of the mother, Rita, a Cameroonian businesswoman who became a cleaning lady. Together, they question gazes, projections and systemic racism. A powerful and necessary play, where the intimate reveals the political.
As part of the far°, from August 12 to 22 in Nyon. More info and tickets: far-nyon.
