By Calixto Neto. Around a black piano, an abstract space unfolds where bodies, music, and light intertwine, from which personal stories about everyday experiences with racism emerge. The performers share intimate narratives in which vulnerability, resistance, and solidarity become visible. With “Bruits Marrons,” the Brazilian choreographer Calixto Neto returns to the Zürcher Theater Spektakel, creating a tender homage to the composer Julius Eastman. The piece invites us to experience the polyphony of Black queer realities as lived presence and collective strength.
