Gold Coast Hostel

Fatih and Mata were hands down the friendliest hostel host I’ve met. Super hospitable, welcoming, and genuinely kind. He made it feel like we’d known each other for years from the very first conversation. People like him make a place feel like home. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed my time at Gold Coast Hostel. Fatih and his team are great hosts and make sure you are happy and comfortable during your stay. Safety isn’t a concern because Rush the German Shepard is the boss and keeps everything safe. The rooftop bar is awesome and creates a nice atmosphere.

I really loved staying here it might not be the fanciest building but the community sense you feel while you are here is the best they make you feel at home and like family.

Expensive for what it is. 👍🏻The hostel is well located, near the sea and the old town. It's run by five friends, most of whom are friendly. The other travelers are generally very nice too, making it easy to meet new people. There's a rooftop terrace. The beds are comfortable and the curtains are practical, with plenty of electrical outlets in the rooms. The female dorm had a balcony. 👎🏻One of the managers is rather offended and quite rude when we refuse his invitation to the rooftop terrace. He pushes people to buy drinks, which are quite expensive. I didn't appreciate his disdain when I refused to buy anything. The shower didn't seem to have been cleaned during my stay (5 days). One of my roommates saw a manager only clean the room and not the shower. There's a lack of furniture or hooks in the rooms for storing belongings. The toilet paper in the restrooms is often lacking. I also noticed that some people who aren't staying at the hostel spend their evenings on the rooftop, and I felt somewhat uncomfortable chatting with a man who wasn't staying at the hostel. The excursions offered are excessively expensive; I paid €30 for mine, while the hostel offers the same one for twice the price.

This was the absolute worst place we stayed during our 6 weeks in Türkiye. We were bitten by bed bugs on our last night! When we arrived, one of the guys who worked there (Fatih) very loudly informed us that this was a party hostel and made us feel very unwelcome since we were tired and looking forward to sleeping. We considered canceling right at that moment, but the cancellation policy on Hostelworld would have charged us for the full stay because it was the day of the booking. We stayed in a private room which was dirty (there was even a random shoe under our bed), we woke up with numerous bug bites that were likely from bed bugs, the internet didn’t reach our room, the shower head attachment was broken. Even though the internet said this was a quiet hostel great for remote workers - it is not at all, especially on pub crawl nights. We stayed at another hostel in the area the night before that was cheaper, more comfortable, cleaner, and had way nicer amenities.

Good hostel located in the Old Town. The staff and volunteers working were very friendly and helpful. There is a park nearby which is really nice. I had booked a private room with a balcony which was comfortable. Toilet/ shower however was too small and is in need of serious renovation. There is a kitchen for coffee/tea, but cooking is allowed only for staff which could be a disappointment to guests who wish to cook. Nice rooftop with a view. However not much of a social atmosphere. No group activities were planned esp during Halloween. Perhaps due to low demand.

Wer ein „cutes“ Hostel mit Herz sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Die Dachterrasse ist ein Traum und die Küche super einladend. Besonders toll: Die Community-Events! Man findet sofort Anschluss und fühlt sich nie einsam. Besonderes Lob an Fathi: Er ist die Seele des Hauses, bringt die Leute zusammen und sorgt für beste Stimmung. Ebenso ist Adem ein absoluter Herzensmensch, an den man sich mit jedem Anliegen wenden kann und bei dem man sich immer super aufgehoben fühlt. Beide machen den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem. This hostel was definitely my personal highlight in Turkey, and saying goodbye felt really hard! "For those looking for a sweet hostel with a heart, this is the place. The terrace is like a dream, and the kitchen is very welcoming. The group activities are especially great! You immediately connect and never feel alone. Adem is also very friendly; he takes care of all your problems and always makes you feel safe. Both of them made this stay very special. This hostel was definitely the best memory of my trip to Turkey, and leaving was really hard!"

The location is perfect! It's in the heart of the city but also offers a peaceful atmosphere. The terrace was my favorite; the view is truly breathtaking. The staff deserves a special mention: they are friendly, respectful, and helpful. In short, it's a top-notch hostel in terms of its view, service, and location.

What makes this hostel special is definitely its atmosphere. The view from the terrace is even more beautiful than the photos. Having breakfast there was wonderful. The staff are incredibly friendly and positive, they put you at ease immediately. Plus, thanks to its location, I was able to walk everywhere. It was both a comfortable and practical stay.

It was truly an experience far beyond my expectations. The terrace view was legendary! Sitting there at sunset was incredibly enjoyable. The staff were always friendly and attentive; you didn't hesitate to ask anything because they genuinely wanted to help. The location is also perfect; both central and very convenient in terms of transportation. I would definitely choose it again!

This was one of the most enjoyable hostels I've ever stayed in! First of all, the terrace view is truly amazing. Sitting there with your morning coffee and enjoying the view is incredibly peaceful, and in the evenings, the city lights transform the atmosphere completely. I'd come back just for that terrace alone! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. From the very first moment, they made me feel like a guest, not a stranger. They were helpful with everything and have a genuinely warm energy. And the location is fantastic. Right in the city center, you can walk everywhere. Being close to both tourist attractions and great cafes is a huge advantage. Cleanliness, atmosphere, energy… everything is 10/10. If I ever come back to this city, I will definitely stay here again!
