About this place LIFT

LIFT is one of Kyiv's larger gay clubs, on the fourth floor of a building on Antonovycha Street with no sign outside. Weekdays mostly mean karaoke hosted by drag performers, and at weekends it opens two dance floors. Ukraine is under martial law, with a night curfew, so events usually end around 10:30pm and air-raid alerts can interrupt the night. Without a sign, first-time visitors should confirm the exact entrance in advance. Check the club's social channels for current hours and status before going, and check the travel advice for your own country.

I drank a Jack Daniel's and a Coke, very little of the cocktail (about 100 grams, the rest was ice). After dancing on the dance floor, I went to the restroom. When I came out, I started tying my shoelaces. The security guards started kicking and punching me in the head and grabbing me, even though I hadn't done anything, and dragged me across the pavement (my arms were torn raw). I absolutely do not recommend this club; it's not worth it.

This isn't a gay club, but a straight and lesbian one. 90s-style music. No food. Cash only. A typical karaoke club.

Terrible quality alcohol! One cocktail gave me and my friends terrible morning sickness! Karaoke doesn't work as advertised. You come at 5:00 PM, they allow you to sing from 8:30 PM, and the club closes at 10:00 PM! There are very few people even on Saturday, it's boring, bad and cheap alcohol, no music!
