Such a lovely hotel to stay at. Staff super helpful. Clean rooms. Location perfect. One down side is the stairs and double lifts to rooms.

Somewhat quirky hotel, quite unlike the usual soulless chain hotel, Reception on 2nd floor, lots of short staircases and corridors. My room was small, which would have been problematic if I had not been on my own. Minor issues were: no tissues supplied, towels were smaller than usual and had small stains. The liquid soap was fixed to a high shelf which made it inaccessible from the bath! Despite overlooking the high street, the room was very quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is really central

This historic hotel is centrally located in Cardiff, overlooking the main road that leads to the castle in just a few minutes' walk. The train station, shops, and cafes are all nearby, and everything is within walking distance. Even though I stayed over the weekend, the room didn't have any street noise. The reception staff were very friendly and available for any information or needs. I didn't try the breakfast. Highly recommended!
