5 years and still come back, amazing atmosphere!!!

Me and my friend went for a bottomless brunch on 28th June, at the time of booking we were informed to arrive for 2pm. We arrived slightly early and I wanted to buy a drink and get settled. I was informed by a rather grumpy male member of staff that the venue wasn't open yet. I said ok we can wait outside even though I found it unusual that the doors were open and you allowed guests in but couldn't trade. On our way out another group walked in, we waited outside for around 20 minutes until 2pm. When we went back in I was rather pissed off to see the same group of people that walked in after us sitting with bottles of wine on the table. Why could they buy a drink and I couldn't? I distinctly got the impression that the male member of staff didn't like the look of me and my face didn't fit. Later on the same male member of staff told us we couldn't have cocktails and we could only have vodka or beer. We had paid for a higher tier band and I didn't think that was right or fair. When I asked the barmaid why this was she said I was allowed cocktails and what I was told was wrong. I said the male staff member had told me this and I complained he had been hostile and his attitude was off with me from my arrival and I had done nothing to deserve it. She told me to ignore him, he was the manager and was annoyed that he had been called in at the last minute to cover and he was hungover! I fail to see why that should affect me or be taken out on me....if he felt rough he should have kept away from the customers, I have in the past when I have been in a similar situation. All in all it soured what should have been a great afternoon, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome and wouldn't pay to go again. I was looking for a venue for my mums 70th birthday at the end of August that was the reason for the visit and I can assure you we won't be going back there. I won an afternoon tea for 6 people but I am sorry I won't be using it and certainly won't be taking anyone else. Its a shame as the rest of the staff were great and the performers we brilliant and good fun. You need to sort out your duty manager. .....To the owner, I thank you for your response. A review platform is exactly the place to review a customer experience. The statement regarding your managers condition came from a female member of barstaff behind the bar so you need to discuss it with her if it is incorrect and not me. I am sorry that my review doesn't fit your desired narrative but, Anything else regarding mine and my friends visit is exactly what we experienced and there isnt anything further to discuss. Maybe instead of being defensive take the comments on board and and try and work out what went wrong. Again as I said, the entertainment and the barstaff were great a credit to you. Thank you.

All the queens were amazing so friendly funny just a brilliant atmosphere even brought my group and other groups of people together like we were all together. It truely was an amazing night.

We had an amazing night out starting at the Benidorm bar then onto Dysco for our friends 30th. The staff were all so welcoming and the queens absolutely made the night. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like VIPs. If you are looking for somewhere with good vibes, welcoming, inclusive night out then this is the place!

8 friends were lucky enough to stumble across the Benidorm Bar, one of the funnyboyz Haus of Fun venues on 19th April this year. The place wasn’t heaving but it was 2pm on a Sunday, and the two hosts, Izzy and sorry but I can’t recall the other drag’s name, soon brought the place to life and I’d like to think my friends and I helped with that too !! We are friends from the Liverbird choir, look us up on Facebook, so invitation to karaoke was taken up with delight. In fact you couldn’t get us off the stage. The drags were so funny and engaging, really getting the audience participation going. Drink was plentiful. I won a £600 party package for 10, and my friend a bottomless brunch WOW! Funnyboyz have rejigged the vouchers at our request for 16 choir members to attend a soulful roast show in October at the Blundell Street venue including bottomless booze for us all!! I have nothing but praise for the positivity, humour and generosity of these guys in sorting this out for us. We are delighted to go in October and I’m sure we’ll have an equally great time, singing, dancing and making merry. Thank you Funnyboyz.

I attended for my hen party and had the V.I.P table We attended the saturday night Cabaret Show. We absolutely loved it. It was such an amazing night for my hen do. A few of us also won prizes on the bingo. All the Queens was so nice and the atmosphere was amazing

had a ball!! As soon as we walked in we were welcomed!! Staff were fab, acts were brilliant & bingo was fabulous! Service was brilliant too, no long ques & everyone was just so lovely! Definitely be booking again xx

Bloody Fab Drag Bootylicious

Had such a fun night for my friend's hen do. The drag queens were so funny!!

The cabaret act was amazing, the singing was outstanding and had everything we could possibly ask for and more the three Queens were absolutely fantastic . We drank danced and sang and had an absolute blast. All the acts and staff we helpful, enthusiastic, entertaining and clearly all very good at their jobs. But for me a special mention is for Izzy you absolutely made the night in my opinion. You sat talking with us for most the evening, she got to know us all and remembered names , family connections and took an interest in us all. Izzy you truly are a special , kind person , beautiful inside and out and someone who I shall always remember and I'm thankful we got to spend a very memorable night with you. There aren't enough words to say but a huge thank you to you all.

Avoid at all costs. This place gave us vicious food poisoning for 48 hours with one of us hospitalised. Service was terrible, we had a voucher for food which we had to remind the staff of three times to even get the food - I wish they had just forgotten it because it made us so unwell.

We had an absolutely blast. Staff were friendly and the show was brilliant. We will be returning for sure.

The event was great everyone loved it, the interactive queens, lip sing battles, comedy show all into one! so many different things going on was great for everyone! Made everyone excited and on cloud nine! Never felt more confident doing a twerk off infront of people i had just met ahaha! The only thing I would say could be improved maybe was some of the food as from what I can remember a few people left their cheese boards and the scouse, menu was a bit limited but offered a variety of different items however did not seem the best quality for food if you're picky! however this may have been due to having too many drinks hahaha! Overall a great experience and place to go with family and friends! :)
