Stonewall

At the Tower Building on York Road, you'll find the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ rights group, and one of Europe’s most important advocacy organizations.

Founded in 1989 by political activists like Sir Ian McKellen and Lisa Power MBE, Stonewall has spent decades fighting for LGBTQ+ equality. And it still does vital work, pushing for rights and better representation all over the UK.

This isn't a bar or a museum. It's a place for activism and community support. You come here to learn about the UK's LGBTQ+ movement, to see what campaigns they're running, and to link up with resources for equality and social change.
