Oxford Friend is a volunteer organization, founded in 1980, that helps gay people and the wider LGBTQ+ community in Oxford. It's been an important part of the city for over 40 years.
You'll find it on Cornmarket Street, right in the city center. This isn't a bar or a club; it’s a place for free information and support. Think of it as a community hub where you can get practical help, find local resources, or learn about LGBTQ+-friendly services around town.
If you're visiting Oxford and want to meet locals, or just need advice about LGBTQ+ services, this is where to go. Volunteers run the place, so they know what the community needs.
Oxford Friend’s central location and long history make it a vital piece of the city's infrastructure, the kind of place that actually makes a city feel welcoming to LGBTQ+ travelers. If you want to tap into real local knowledge or make connections, start here.
Always check their website for current opening hours and services before you go.

beautiful space
I came to see the garden not to worship. This is a fantastic garden an oasis of peace. The meeting hall is at the back off the garden.
It was nice to be here, meeting friends and having a great time❤️❤️More love
Lovely and peaceful place with a well looked after garden in the middle of the city to enjoy an event or whatever brings you there.
