We have been many times before and have enjoyed it which is why we chose to have a meal here to celebrate an 18th birthday. Unfortunately, although the server was lovely, service itself was slow (maybe more staff are needed, especially as we needed to go to the bar to get drinks as no one was available to see to the table). The food was mediocre (and not as hot as it should have been). Given the bill was over £200 for just two hours at a table, it wasn’t worth it. Also, the only effort made to acknowledge the 18th was a handwritten note on the table - a cupcake or something for the birthday girl would have been a nice touch (and is quite common elsewhere). The personal touch was missing and the experience was sadly more than a little underwhelming. We really hope things improve going forward as this used to be a great place to visit.

I have been visiting here for a number of years. It still a beautiful building, staff are still attentive and the food is good. Unfortunately it's menu appears to have become static and the lack of specials mean regular visits isn't an option. For a first time visitor note an issue or even a regular visitor who values predictability.
