Wakame Asian Kitchen & Lounge

My favourite Asian restaurant in Lagos. I’ve found that restaurants in hotels are often much better than those elsewhere, both in terms of food quality and price. I’ve been here many times, and they also offer a Sunday lunch buffet, which is well worth trying.

Honestly, the food left much to be desired. It was not that great in my opinion. The service was deplorable. A group of unprofessionals masquerading as hostesses and servers. They have no clue about how to give good service. SMH. However the decor and overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice, which is their main selling point.

I was really disappointed with the food. It honestly felt like I paid more for the aesthetics than the actual quality of the meal. The rice was soggy and lacked flavour, while the butter naan bread was very dry and slightly burnt. Overall, the food did not meet my expectations, and I believe the chef needs to pay more attention to the taste and quality of the meals, not just the presentation.

I was there for a team bonding activity and I can say it was a good experience. Customer service was amazing
