Hôtel 57

Room we booked on the website looked absolutely nothing like the room we were given. A smaller room with no natural light and no window. Aircon in the room was also very poor which left the room intolerably warm. When asking staff as regards to this issue we were rudely gaslit by staff that no hotels in Sydney had windows? We were also told we should cancel our reservation but would not get any refund. Staff at the front desk were incredibly unhelpful and adopted a patronising and passive aggressive tone. Staff when cleaning the room managed to throw out a brand new white shirt with the linen. When we realised this as we were packing our bags to leave, staff told us that this was our fault as we told them too late? In my experience it is unusual for hotel staff to throw out customers clothes whilst they stay there so we did not look out for this earlier in the stay! Staff again were incredibly unhelpful, we told someone in the morning and were told they would raise the issue, later when asking again we were told they didn’t! I then was told I could have a 50 dollar refund for something that was worth 100 dollars and was brand new. To conclude I never raise negative reviews of hotels and I am aware these are probably minor issues but I have never experienced such poor customer service and thought this should be highlighted to anyone who is thinking of staying here.

very friendly staff, we felt very safe in that hotel. the rooms were okay, the bed was comfortable but the water would drip out of the shower, therefore the architecture was not that smart but overall it was a great experience. there is a train station a few steps from the hotel and also many cute cafes around that area. the price we got for 4 days was amazing. we got in the lobby free cafe and a few snacks, which was great. would definitely recommend!

2-minute walk to Central. Clean, quiet, efficient. Simple 3 stars setup but great value. Perfect for travellers staying around Sydney CBD without costing an arm and a leg

Very friendly staff couldn’t do enough for us. Great savourys in the morning and coffee machine 24hrs. So close to Central Station which was great as we caught the train in from the airport. I had the Shoebox room with my grandson but surprisingly roomy will definitely stay again.

I stayed here with my mother, whom I invited to Australia for the first time so she could attend my graduation ceremony. It was her first trip abroad in 40 years—such an adventure for her, and the convenient location made everything so easy to navigate. Thanks to the warm welcome from every member of the staff, she felt very comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, which made our experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend 57 Hotel to anyone looking for a place in Sydney CBD where you can truly unwind in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere!

Just a get by room for sleep. Should have water container in each room, better door sealants, and surface inserts on each mattress. Overall, it is a quiet place to sleep

My first visit to Sydney included an 8-day stay at Hotel 57. The location is superb, close to Central Station, making it convenient for travel in all directions. The attentive manager, Mac, and the lovely Ms. Paola were warm and welcoming, attentive to guests' needs and offering travel advice, making it hard to leave. The coffee in the lobby was delicious and refreshing, and the complimentary snacks and fruits made every day a delightful experience. I felt right at home and would definitely stay again! 👍

Stayed for two nights. Endured the most horrible thin and uncomfortable mattress imagineable. Worst experience ever. Terrible back pain by the second morning. A pity because in other respects it's not a bad hotel at all.

The best customer service, comparable to a luxury hotel. Location is great.
