À propos de l'événement

Drum roll please... Ramona's Gay Book Club is here! Hosted by Ramona's most loyal supporter, Jason Davis, avid reader of contemporary men's queer fiction.

We're kicking off with Holden Sheppard's Yeah the Boys, described as "unflinching" and "rollicking," which honestly tells you everything you need to know about the energy of this book.

It can be read as a standalone, but picks up seven years after Sheppard's beloved 2019 debut Invisible Boys, catching up with its three main characters having moved from Geraldton to Perth. What follows is a big-hearted, clear-eyed look at friendship, masculine identity, and what it means to grow up working-class and queer in Australia. Written with what Sheppard himself calls 'bogan pride,' and with absolutely no apology for it.

This is the kind of book that makes you laugh, wince, and feel seen... sometimes all on the same page.

Join us for an evening of discussion, a drink in hand, and the kind of conversation that only happens when the right book finds the right room. New to book club or a long-time regular, you're warmly welcome.

Your ticket includes:
• A copy of Yeah the Boys
• A drink on arrival
• Your spot on the night
