Hôtel The Colombian

A bar that is supposedly “all inclusive” and is the complete opposite. Denied entry and given a blanket excuse as to why I couldn’t go in when I haven’t been to venue in over 2 years. Not worth your time. A place once known to be an incredible LGBTQI venue now picks and chooses who they will let in.

I got dressed up with two other lesbians and an ally. We were denied entry, were given a bs excuse saying that we were there previously and had misbehaved. None of us had. Was very hurtful to be a part of the community and to be denied entry. We all present as femme straight women and assumed that’s why. We had A LOT of fun at PALMS! Go there! Great music and drag.

The main bar was a little strange but we quickly discovered the rooftop bar. This has a great atmosphere and music and clean.

You don't get the tax of certain other pubs along here and I don't if many of the clubs are left so despite appearances, it makes for a good old experience along here.

Lovely pub with friendly staff and great window seating for people watching on the busy street outside. The decor is smart and the toilets upstairs are modern and clean. There’s a good range of drinks available with decent prices but they only offer schooners and no pint options. Nice relaxing atmosphere and somewhere I’ll certainly be returning to.

Not a place I would generally visit but found it enjoyable none the less. Rooftop bar is a good spot to have a drink.

Street level bar still the same with little atmosphere but they've definitely upped their game with the new rooftop bar. There they play great summery funky music with the frequent addition of a good DJ and tonight a funky female sax player, both playing skilfully over the pre-recorded music and adding greatly to the atmosphere! I haven't seen this in any other Sydney bar and it's wonderful!

Haven't visited The Columbian in years. We decided to check out the newly opened rooftop on a Sunday arvo. The fit out is great, with plenty of shade. The drinks were good. The staff were friendly. And the highlight - the live musician (Travis Drew) was excellent... a perfect selection of tunes for a Sunday arvo.

Terrible Experience, unprofessional Bartender her name JEN, no idea about Cocktails, lot's of mistakes, Arrogant Staff and Security, NEVER AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM HORRIBLE COLOMBIAN HOTEL

Fun and friendly atmosphere in a great location. Staff are really nice and the coctails are amazing!
