This was the worst experience that I've had in Israel. This is an agent online that will overcharge you, "forget" to actually book your dive, and take no responsibility at all when something goes wrong. When I actually went to the dive center for the dive that I booked they were just as unhelpful and took no responsibility for their agents mistakes. After that nightmare I went to Reef Center in Hertzliya and they couldn't have been nicer or more understanding. Better beach too.

For divers staying in Tel Aviv on business/social, try to fit in a dive to the Sea Wolf with Sea Tel Aviv. The wreck is at around 30m, accessed by a short boat ride and is intact with plenty of original features. This is not a penetration dive, so wreck diver quals not necessary. In Dec the water was warm (for a UK diver), at around 19 degrees. At this time of year either hire a 5mm or take your own dry with light underlayer. Some current, so a bit of experience with 'less than perfect' dive conditions would be helpful. Vis 8-12m on this occasion. Sea Tel Aviv have good facilities (kit, Nitrox, rinsing, changing etc) and experienced DMs. I enjoyed the dive and would go back for a second look.

My four daughters and I returned from the best tour I have EVER had to Israel last Wednesday. Our tour guide was Meni Tzabari. I have been to Israel 2 previous times, but Meni's knowledge and personality was more than BOTH combined. He was OVER the top. First, he was very personable and we immediately felt like family on day one. We had 15 on our tour. He had all 15 names down within the first hour. He drew each one in personally in his explanations with humor and fun. Always had a laugh with his depth of knowledge. It was a time of intense safety issues while we were there. Meni always assured us that our safety was first.Once he could have picked us by bus, but chose to have us walk with him for security because he was getting updates about the state of affairs at each location. My girls rage in age from 17-27.They were concerned that the trip would not be fun and all they can talk about is how wonderful it was and that Meni was the person who made it for them. After the tour, 7 of us invited Meni for lunch and he joined us for a farewell lunch. I left one daughter there to attend TAU. Meni has even checked on her and has assured me that he will continue to do so. Also, when I was leaving, I got an email from Meni checking to see if we were okay at airport because of rockets over Tel Aviv at that time. There are no words to describe our time and all because of Meni. When we return to Israel, I will ONLY request Meni for our tour guide. It was the richest experience of my life and for my daughters too.

I organized an afternoon sailboat trip for a group of 10 for 3 hours through Greg at Sea Tel Aviv. The process was simple and all my questions were answered through email and phone whenever I had them. Greg was very quick to respond to my questions and got my outing set up quickly. The boat was great, our captain Tal was very friendly. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend Sea Tel Aviv to anyone looking for an outing. Summarize: Simple to book Quick to reply Good pricing Variety of boating options Friendly and knowledge staff, captains, and crew

Dived there in March 2013 with an instructor named Gal, and I loved it. The price was reasonable for a private dive (250 NIS incl. all equipment). We dived Gordon's cave, one of the only reef accessible from shore. While the life on the reef was clearly not comparable with other places like say the Red Sea, it was nice getting wet while on a business trip to the country. The shop is well equipped for tech and mixed-gas diving with an O2 booster and oxygen/helium readily available at the filling station.

I'm really shocked at the review of Sea Tel Aviv by The couple who wasn't happy. My son and his friends have done dives with Greg on at least three separate occasions and each time they enjoyed it more than the last one. One of the guys on the first dive was a bit fearful, but Greg's patience, understanding and perseverance enabled him to go for it and continue on to do further dives. I can't say enough for this diving lug. It's a winner. Marilyn

I would never use Sea Tel Aviv or Dive Tel Aviv again. I had a very disappointing experience with Greg of Sea Tel Aviv today. Arrangements were made through Jordan of Dive Tel Aviv for two dives for 650 shekels, including equipment rental and a required refresher dive. The night before our dive, Jordan instructed us to meet Greg the next morning at the marina next to the Carlton hotel. Greg was on time. We paid the agreed-upon fee and I was required to pay an additional 115 shekels for insurance for this dive. It was only after making payment that I found out that there was only to be a single dive. I showed Greg the email confirmation that this was supposed to be two dives. Greg was not at all sympathetic. He insisted that his was a different business and that whatever deal we had made with Jordan was not his responsibility. The fact that we were not aware that we were dealing with a different business was of no significance to him. He returned only 50% of the dive fee, when I decided not to go and he had no interest, at all, in helping us cancel and get a refund of the dive insurance. In the end, I paid 365 shekels for a canceled dive. I cannot blame Greg for the fact that the dive site off of the beach at the marina at the Carlton hotel is of little interest, as confirmed by my friend who did go on the dive. But I do blame him for not acknowledging that he should have been honoring the deal that we made with the person for whom he was substituting. It should have been Greg's responsibility to work out a deal with Dive Tel Aviv. in any event, a charge of 650 shekels (insurance aside) for a one tank dive off the beach, even with equipment included, is totally over-priced. Greg has some learning to do about customer relationships!

We booked the catamaran for a morning for a group of 18 friends and children. It was a great trip and probably the highlight of the holiday. We enjoyed swimming in the clear waters of a secluded bay and everyone had a go at being pulled behind the boat on the inflatables. The crew were friendly and drinks were supplied. We will definitely do this again!

I was looking for an English language scuba diving school for my 12 year old daughter in Tel Aviv. I am extremely happy with my choice. Greg Lipsky is a very knowledgeable, professional, hardworking, and pleasant instructor. My daughter had the best time ever!!! I hope to use his services during my next visit in Israel. Thank you soo much, Greg! :)
