BnA WALL - Hôtel d'Art à Tokyo

A little bit off the beaten path, but it was a great little hotel.

The coolest hotel! I love how art is not a gimmick here but the heart of everything they are doing. It was cool to see them at work on new art installations while we were there. The attention to detail, including ensuring we had an opportunity to learn about our specific room (we stayed in the Sushi Wars room), really made our stay special. The front desk workers were also amazing and gave us great food recommendations and helped us find the best route to the airport when we were running late. We'll be back for longer!

Although the location is a bit far from the station, the experience of staying in an artistic space was incredibly impressive and fun!!! I was also looking forward to getting a random room assignment, and above all, the bed was spacious!!!! and the bathroom was pleasant!!!! The entire accommodation felt like a work of art, so I want to try staying at a BNA property next time. James was also very kind in explaining the room to me.

Staff were extremely kind and personable. The room was excellent, with a bathroom and shower you'd expect to find in a 5-star hotel. The breakfast was of high quality and freshness, if just a little on the small side. But several beverage choices, and I had a very good cappuccino. Overall, a tasty way to start the day. This area of Nihombashi was also very cool, with a lot of great food and shopping options nearby. We walked 15 minutes to Takashimaya Department Store and Maruzen Bookstore, where we whiled away most of one afternoon. Some on here have said they felt the rooms were small or ugly, or that the hotel was too trendy or pretentious. In my opinion, it is just being true to itself as a place that loves art and artists. It is trying to be cool on purpose, yes, but still felt fun and welcoming to us. Also, as someone who has stayed in dozens of hotels in Japan over the decades, I can tell you that our room was definitely on the large side.

Another great experience with BnA! We stayed in their Kyoto branch first and then the Tokyo one. This stay was just as great as the earlier one! Great service, fun rooms, and this is a great location!

Such a great time staying in an art installation and the staff is so friendly. They really helped us out with getting us a taxi and helped answer any question we had. We felt very welcome by everyone. My partner and I are very tall so staying in Hyo-bo had some challenges ducking in and out of the igloo where the bed is got to be a bit much by day 4, but if you are there a couple nights you probably won't be bothered by it.

incredible experience I love all the art and support they give to artists. Anna is very sweet and accommodating and so is all of the staff. each room carries its own identity and sense of wonder and just like a box of chocolate, you don’t know which one you’re going to get!

One of the best stays we've ever had in Japan! The rooms were so fun and clean, and everything down to the cups were so thoughtfully considered and designed. My fiance and I stayed in the urban nest room and it was very roomy, especially for a hotel in Tokyo. A special thanks to the hotel staff–they were so kind at check-in and went the extra mile to help us call Yamato to sort out a luggage miscommunication. Our stay included the breakfast option, which was absolutely delicious. This specific location is in a business district. It wasn't particularly exciting, but it's quite convenient to walk to the train and bus to the nearby touristy neighbourhoods. We'd definitely love to stay here again next time!
