Hôtel Ōkura Kōbe

As we finished our meal, paid the bill, and were about to leave, we were informed that the fireworks were about to begin and were even shown to seats with a good view. Thank you very much! (^^)

Very accommodating staffs. Hotel is very close to the port and great for afternoon walks. Very pram friendly place.

When it comes to hotels in Kobe, it's either this one or the Oriental Hotel. Even if you're not a local, I think everyone has seen the building in photos or on TV. The facilities aren't the latest, but it's spacious and clean, and the whole hotel has a calm atmosphere where you can relax. Getting to the hotel is easy thanks to the free shuttle bus (shared with the Oriental Hotel) and it's convenient to get to and from Sannomiya Station. The hotel's main attraction is the view from the rooms, but the view varies depending on the room's orientation and floor, so it's a matter of luck.

This is a top-class hotel representing the port city of Kobe. The breathtaking views in all directions and the refined, undeniable level of service guarantee a high level of satisfaction.

We stayed here for our child's birthday so we could go to the Anpanman Children's Museum. It was the perfect hotel as it was within walking distance. It was close to the sea, had a great view, and was ideally located for walking to various shops. There were bed guards, so our child wouldn't fall out of bed unless something extraordinary happened.

We stayed in the Anpanman Suite Room. The entire room was decorated in Anpanman style, and our child was thrilled. Anpanman characters were scattered throughout the room, even at a child's eye level, making it visually enjoyable. There were so many Anpanman toys that our child couldn't play with them all. Breakfast was served in the room, and the children's meal was Anpanman-themed. You can choose between Japanese or Western style. The suite included tickets to the Anpanman Museum and a character greeting, making it a very special experience. We also received many Anpanman goods. However, the Anpanman Museum is a bit of a distance away. It's about a 15-minute walk. We enjoyed walking along the coast, so it felt like a pleasant stroll. The location is a bit far from major stations, so you'll probably need to take a taxi or shuttle bus. Note that the shuttle bus only runs from Kobe Station on weekdays; for Shin-Yokohama and Sannomiya, it's only available on weekends. The staff were very helpful, and we would like to stay here again.

Returned here in May 2028. A very nice location . I heard the Emperor has stayed here before. Great hotel. Much quieter than Osaka and Kyoto. Easy access to both cities by train. My room is very nice and international large size. Staff are very kind and friendly. Breakfast buffet was very nice. They have a shuttle bus between JR San nomiya Sta. and hotel every 20 mins. Walking distance to shopping areas and tourist spots. I heard the Japanese Emperor stayed at this hotel in late 2022. True 5 star hotel.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Japan. The room was very clean and spacious—something rarely found in Japan—and the city view overlooking the Port Tower made me look forward to the night! The staff were incredibly kind, and thank you for providing such a special experience.
