I started getting sick when I arrived, and for awhile I honestly chalked it up to me getting sick from travel, but it was noticeably worse when I was in the room. My boyfriend pointed out the random picture in the corner near the mattress and we never thought much about it until later when we were looking at it closer and saw how dirty it looked. We discovered that behind it and seeping in it was a bunch of brown and black mold… I have asthma and this could’ve been dangerous for me and explains why I was feeling so sick. When we asked for a refund, they waited until after our check out time to respond, saying that because it’s past check out they can’t refund. We had to go back through the booking website to request help. For your health and safety, I would not recommend this place at all. Trying to cover it up with a random photo is downright evil.
Not sure where to start with this one... Tokyo is a huge city so walking was never an issue so being 45 minutes walk from Shibuya centre was expected and not so much of an issue. It is located in a lovely and quiet area. The room itself is small and the 'bedroom'...or 'mattress placement' as I would prefer to call it on, what I guess, is the reason for the 'loft' title of the property is difficult at best. The space between the mattress and the ceiling is incredibly narrow, to the point where even sitting up is impossible. So from the top of the ladder, you need to crawl on your knees to get to the mattress and you will, bang your head at least once. In saying that though I must point out that the room was very clean and tidy with two low but comfortable couches. Same can be said for the bathroom which was very clean but I'm not even sure how they managed to get a miniature bath, shower, sink and toilet in there...you will, bang your elbows on the wall. Apart from that, it was lovely and I received all the check in information I required before our arrival and getting into the apartment was clear and easy to follow. The apartment was also a very affordable option for Tokyo so that must be considered as rooms in Tokyo are expensive in general
my partner and I booked this apartment for us to stay for 2 nights and we were met with such an unpleasant experience.... 1. communication with staff: We booked this through the Agoda app and it said that they would send us the details on the password and number of our unit the day before our booking but on the day itself we still didn't receive anything. Our check in time was 4pm and my partner had to call the person at 2pm asking if they were gonna send us the details. Other than this issue i had specifically texted the staff a week before asking if we could check in a little earlier as we had a lot of luggages but there were still no reply from them. 2. The apartment itself: The minute we walked in we were immediately drawn by how small it was. That wasn't the main problem the main problem was that there was 2 locks and 1 of it wasn't working and the other one was so flimsy we almost couldn't lock it properly... The loft on the top was so small and the bed could barely fit 2 people. The cabinets had a very weird smell and the toilets were incredibly small. The last problem was the heater, we came during the winter and it had one tiny heater which of course could not heat up the entire place.... 3. Location: we took a taxi to the apartment and there was nothing to see there... the place felt very unsafe especially at night where we could hear random music playing. The minute we stepped into the place we felt really unsafe because of the locks and the location, our safety was our number 1 priority therefore we decided to move to a hotel after checking into the apartment. Would not recommend to stay here do spend a little more money in Tokyo to book somewhere else :)
I accidentally booked the larger room and within an hour of booking I realized and they would not refund my fee or switch me to the smaller room. I do not need a quadruple. My only choice was to cancel and let them have 7700 ish yen for nothing. They are theives. I will never book with them again. Make reasonable cancellations free!
