The parking lots being in different buildings is really inconvenient. The booking website didn't mention this either. If it had, I definitely wouldn't have chosen this hotel. It's unbelievable that it caused so much trouble after already checking into a hotel.

Overall, it's a boutique hotel with a very stylish design. The strong Art Deco style is immediately apparent upon entering the lobby. From rabbit figurines and vintage telephones to room keys, leather card holders, and a mini-bar, every detail maintains a consistent design language, adding a touch of ceremony to the check-in experience and making it perfect for photography enthusiasts. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with herringbone wood flooring paired with marble elements, creating a high-quality feel. The bathroom features a separate shower and toilet, and the toiletries are from the ZERO% series, with a clean and pleasant fragrance. The hotel also has a gym and a self-service laundry room, which is very convenient for long-stay guests. However, there were a few things I found regrettable during my stay: * I found a hair in the bathtub. * The bathtub surface felt noticeably dirty, not the smooth feel one would expect after cleaning. I hope the housekeeping staff can improve their cleaning attention to detail. * The hotel does not have a swimming pool. * The parking lot is not located on the property and requires about a five-minute walk, which can be slightly inconvenient if you are carrying large luggage or encountering rain. Overall, the design, aesthetics, and atmosphere of the accommodations were impressive. If the room cleaning service could be improved, it would be an even more highly recommended boutique hotel. Initially, I was drawn in by the understated yet luxurious décor. I love hotels with such a design sense; it elevates the entire vacation experience. But what truly impressed me and made me want to return was the hotel's excellent service. From the signage at the entrance to the friendly service of every staff member, even the nodding smiles, the friendly conversations with room service staff, and the professional chefs who took our breakfast on-site, everything made me feel comfortable. The counter service at check-out was exceptional; the tall, handsome man at the entrance kindly offered to help us with our luggage. Honestly, the service was better than what I experienced at the InterContinental, which cost several times more. The staff training here is truly superb. The breakfast was more refined than I expected; it wasn't just about filling my stomach. Staying all day without having to leave the hotel made me happy.

I checked into the Oku Hotel last night. Even though I only had a small travel bag, a staff member at the door offered to help me carry it as soon as I got off the bus. I felt a little embarrassed and politely declined. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous. There was a slight hiccup during check-in due to a mistake in the name on the travel agency's booking, but they said the front desk staff were very careful. There was water available in the lobby, very thoughtful, just like in a European hotel lobby. The room key card holder had a very European aristocratic feel. The room itself was luxurious and grand, a style I really liked. The bed was just the right firmness, with one soft pillow and one firmer one. There were also cookies and drinks. The Chinatown night market is just a three-minute walk away, making it very convenient to buy food. The TV in the room could be pulled out and bent, and the view from the inner seating area was excellent. The water pressure in the shower was just right. The toiletries were from the Zero brand, which I used for the first time. The shower gel didn't leave my skin feeling slippery, and I was amazed by their conditioner; my hair was very smooth. The hairdryer was also powerful enough. The breakfast the next day was even better. The seating was comfortable and spacious, and the food presentation and flow were excellent. The sweet potato and barley soup was quite unique; I heard it's only available in Taichung? It was delicious. Highly recommend the breakfast! Even when we were waiting to cross the street at the entrance, a staff member reminded us that the streetlights would be on for another 20 seconds and suggested we go inside since it was a bit chilly. Such a thoughtful touch! I sincerely recommend this hotel; the stay was excellent! I had read reviews mentioning inconvenient parking, but now they have a designated parking lot that's very close by. Just take a ticket and you can enter and exit for free until noon the next day. It's a hotel that's consistently improving; give it a try! The only downside was that we couldn't find the way to the rooftop garden and gym 😅. It says "top floor," but is going up to the 11th floor to see the rooms? We wanted to take a walk and take some photos after breakfast, but we couldn't find it, which was a small disappointment.

A hotel that left me with good memories 🏨

At $3900 per night, I strongly advise against this hotel! There's no parking available. While there is, it's a short walk, which is inconvenient for those with a lot of luggage. The hotel didn't provide disposable toiletries. The pen in the room was broken and wouldn't write. Before check-out, I felt unwell and asked the front desk if I could delay my check-out. The front desk replied, "What do you want?" I said, full of questions, "Delay check-out." The front desk then said the late check-out fee was $800 per hour. At another hotel, I rested for 6 hours, had unlimited free coffee, and the front desk provided disposable toiletries for under $800. I haven't stayed in a hotel this badly in a long time. The hotel I chose for my honeymoon was ultimately a bad choice. Just for your reference.

I came here to visit the old town attractions in Midtown, which is known for its hide-and-seek gameplay. The lobby was bright and nice, and the staff at the front desk were very welcoming, introducing the bar and other dining options. I never thought I would come here since I live in Taichung City. I would recommend it to friends sometime, or maybe try it out while taking an evening stroll.

Due to work commitments, the child's mother didn't arrive at the hotel until midnight by high-speed rail. Considering her very limited rest time, she inquired at the front desk about extending her check-out by one hour. Unexpectedly, the first response she received was, "It'll cost 800 NTD!" While it's understandable that the hotel has a set check-out time and respects relevant fee regulations, if the first step after a guest explains their special circumstances—instead of immediately discussing fees, to understand their needs, confirm room availability, and then decide whether flexibility is possible—the guest would undoubtedly experience a completely different level of service. Regulations are important, but the service industry needs more than just rules; it needs a touch of human warmth. Sometimes, a small concession or a thoughtful response can leave a lasting positive impression and make guests more likely to choose the hotel again.
