Le Secrets Bar, sur Charoenprathet Road, est l'endroit où la communauté gay locale de Chiang Mai et les visiteurs LGBTQ+ se retrouvent pour siroter des cocktails. Vous y trouverez un mélange authentique : des expatriés gays, des voyageurs internationaux et des locaux. C'est un excellent lieu pour rencontrer du monde et pour appréhender la scène gay du nord de la Thaïlande. La vie nocturne gay de Chiang Mai semble plus détendue que celle de Bangkok. Les bars y sont plus petits, plus conviviaux, loin des immenses boîtes de nuit. Le Secrets Bar s'intègre parfaitement, un endroit propice aux boissons et aux conversations. Wonderful staff. However, be warned there is a 200 baht surcharge for paying by credit card, not mentioned in the menu nor on any sign. While I can understand the incentives that make a business punitively deter traceable interactions, making it a nasty surprise outweighed the other nice elements of the visit for me.
