Impiana Resort Patong

Best location, But too expensive.

Great location. Everything is out dated. Not very clean. Pool is old. Not worth the money I spent. Will stay elsewhere in the future.

Best location for Patong and probably the most quiet place even in the middle of everything.

We got a room full of mosquitoes, we went to the reception to see how the problem could be addressed, a guy came who was very nice but sprayed the entire room with mosquito repellent, which created a situation where it was impossible to enter the room at all due to the terrible smell. After spraying, we were asked to leave the door open to ventilate, which of course prevented us from moving from here. At the reception we were told that it was not possible to change to another room because there was no space. The next day after we returned from a trip (at 2:00 PM) we discovered that no one had even thrown the garbage here. In addition to everything - Rats running outside, The shower was full of mold on the walls Full of small flies, some of which were squashed on the walls. A dirty floor (this is how we got the room) Torn bedding, a torn curtain that didn't close all the way. I didn't expect to get some kind of luxury suite, but the minimum is a clean room.

Lovely stay and we will return. The moment you step off the street into the property, everything changes. Outside is constant noise and high energy. Inside the beautiful, lush, wandering grounds, it is quiet and relaxed. You can hear the waves instead of traffic. The location really is special. Right on the beach, but still in the centre of everything. The property itself is beautiful, very much in a traditional Thai style, with beautiful rooms. We stayed in one of the suites and it was huge. Two full bathrooms, a separate living area with a couch, dining table, TV, and minibar, blackout curtains and an enormous L-shaped patio facing straight out to the sea with a double size lounger, table for four, and couch. Dinner at the hotel was excellent. Everything was made fresh, and the flavours authentic. The papaya salad was especially good. We were looked after by super friendly Ree and Donut, Service across the board was great. Always warm and attentive. I want give special mentor the front manager Kae, so gracious and helpful and big smile, and Luang, the breakfast chef and Polly, serving there. We had a small room issue and it was resolved quickly and without any fuss. There were lots of thoughtful touches. Plenty of fresh drinking water each day, beach towels and a beach bag provided, and good value at the bar with happy hour drinks (2 for one plus an extra!). The pool is not large, but it has an unobstructed view of the beach and there is no road to cross ( a rarity). And breakfast buffet was better than most, so much to try new and the usual western favourites as well. They made me fresh iced chocolate milk every day. A couple of things to note: Rooms are visible from the walkways if curtains are open at night, so there is a slight trade-off with privacy (and we were beside breakfast so felt exposed.

Also, the in-room coffee is only instant, so a pod machine would be a nice upgrade and some body lotion would be nice especially after a day in salty ocean water. And they seem to allow smoking, or not stop it, in the restaurant so every morning we had to change seats when someone decided to smoke at their table beside us. We heard our neighbours briefly once or twice, but it was minimal and we slept well. Summary Overall, this place really delivers on something that is surprisingly hard to find in Patong. It is calm, beautiful, and directly on the beach, while still being right in the centre of everything. And on the point of staff, because I have seen some negative comments, I honestly do not recognise that experience from other travellers at all. Everyone was super friendly. Remember, a smile begets a smile and you are in a blessed, privileged position to be travelling so don't be too. and they let us their shower facilities before heading to the airport after we checked out ( we had a long delay). I wish we weren’t leaving!

Very good exprience

We were genuinely excited about this resort based on what we saw online, but our stay turned out to be a major disappointment especially considering the price. To start, the room we booked was advertised with a bathtub, which was an important factor in our decision. However, upon arrival, there was no tub in the room. When we raised this with reception, we were told that the bathtub shown online was “for advertising purposes only,” which is both misleading and unacceptable. After a long day of travel, all we wanted was a simple shower to refresh. Instead, we were met with extremely hot water—far beyond a comfortable level. The suggested solution from staff was to run the cold water for an extended period. Unfortunately, during our two-night stay, we had to let the water run for 15+ minutes each time just to make it usable. This is not only inconvenient but also wasteful. Another major reason we chose this resort was the pool and its ocean view. Disappointingly, the pool was under maintenance during our stay. This was never communicated in advance, and it significantly impacted our experience. While the beach view is nice, these issues completely overshadowed any positives. For the price paid, we expected far better transparency, maintenance, and service. We would not return and strongly hope management addresses these problems moving forward.

It is a very pleasant and nice resort. It is a place that accompanied me on an enjoyable trip where I could enjoy rest and relaxation.

We are very disappointed with this hotel's behavior. Due to the current war situation, our flight was canceled at short notice by the airline because we would have had a layover in Abu Dhabi, and air traffic is currently severely restricted or even completely suspended. Therefore, we were forced to cancel our trip. We submitted all relevant documents to the hotel, including the tickets canceled by the airline. Nevertheless, no understanding was shown, and no amicable solution was offered. It is particularly disappointing that we offered to accommodate the hotel. We offered to simply postpone our stay and would have been willing to come at a later date, yet there was no flexibility or willingness to compromise. This is all the more regrettable as we have stayed here several times before and actually appreciate the hotel very much. We are therefore all the more surprised and disappointed by their handling of this situation. It is a real shame; potential guests should be aware that even in exceptional circumstances, no goodwill is shown here. ________________ We are very disappointed with this hotel's behavior.
