HARD ON

Went here on a Friday "F'n'D" evening. The people working here are super friendly and welcoming - especially the guy in the wardrobe who checked my membership registration and managed the cash register on Friday, January 23rd. Beer comes at a very reasonable price (I think it was €3,60), and suddenly the barkeeper came around offering shots to everyone. Not sure if this is something they do every night or if this was something exceptional. The whole club seems very clean and well maintained. The main floor is a club setup with benches, a bar and a dance floor. Upstairs you have a cruising area with different levels of lighting from lit to complete darkness. You also have a few private cubicles, a sling room and a room for piss play with a bathtub. There's also a smaller cruising area and an isolated smoking room next to the bar on the main floor. The venue is the home of LMC Vienna, so a lot of guys here know each other, and it can be a bit challenging connecting with guys as a foreign tourist visiting for the first time.....on the main floor. Upstairs in the cruising area however, connecting is much easier. Maybe not in a verbal way but definitely the oral way, if you catch my drift lol! It wasn't too crowded the day I was here, and the guy in the wardrobe even said it was pretty quiet for a Friday. The only downside for me is that this is a cash-only venue which I find a bit difficult as I come from a card-only country. I am not used to cash handling at all, and making sure I bring enough with me is be difficult. This makes me a bit nervous as I'm always worried my bar tab will be higher than the amount of cash I have when checking out. Nevertheless, I loved the club, the vibe and the staff and will definitively reactivate my "International Membership" for tourists the next time I'm visiting Vienna. Be aware! Don't trust Google Maps' pinpoint of the location, which is shown on the north side of the building. If you come from the north, the entrance is NOT the door facing the big parking lot. That's the staff entrance. The guest entrance is on the south side of the building in Hamburgerstr. just a few doors from the Man for Man gay adult cinema.

HARD ON is the clubhouse of the Leather and Motorbike Community Vienna (LMC Vienna). As the only men-only bar with a strict dress code, it's the hub of Austria's gay fetish scene. It's also a popular spot for gay kinksters from neighboring countries. As a clubhouse, it's run by members for members on a volunteer basis. Guests must register in advance.

Things went really well this weekend

I've had several wonderful and fun evenings here now. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxed evening with cool people. I would just recommend that first-timers register on the website at least 72 hours in advance.
