Hello, I am contacting you regarding my stay from june 25th to 29th. Last night at 23h50 when I arrived, I was informed by the receptionist that the room had no working air conditioning, although air conditioning was listed as a facility of the room I booked and that’s the only reason why I booked at your hotel. I’m sorry to say this but the temperature in the room was unbearable, and I was only able to stay for approximately 30 minutes before having to leave. The receptionist informed me that there was no air conditioning available in the entire building due to ongoing works and that no fan was available at that time. I was told I would have to wait until the next day to possibly borrow a fan, which was not an acceptable solution for the remaining nights. Because the room did not provide the advertised facility and I could not stay in the accommodation, I had to arrange another place to sleep. Therefore I kindly request that you cancel the reservation without any cancellation fee and process a full refund, as the accommodation did not match the conditions advertised at the time of booking. Arrived at the hotel greeted by an extremely rude old guy who had zero people or customer service skills and any training at all. He only created problems with our booking and refused to believe or accept anything we were trying to tell him or the fact we called to arrange and confirm our booking. His behaviour was completely unacceptable, unprofessional and embarrassing. He just wanted to argue and be no help. Luckily another staff member who was friendly and helpful was there to calm the situation down and actually provide some help with our booking. The hotel also had no AC working due to construction going on at the hotel. Which must be going for months. There is zero information provided to guests either by email, or before arrival to say there is no AC in the hotel!! Middle of summer unacceptable. Zero information on their website or on booking.com or other platforms about it. They couldn’t care less. And obviously no discount offered at all. Terrible hotel but great location. Never again.

I'm giving it one star because I can't give it less. I came to Belgium with my partner, and on the recommendation of the travel agency, we decided to book this hotel because the woman who helped us had stayed here before. Our surprise upon arrival was tremendous. Just stepping into the hotel and walking through the entrance gave us a bad feeling. Everything was dirty, neglected, and under construction. The man at reception was arrogant and unfriendly. When we checked in, there was a couple who had come down to complain because, in addition to being renovated, the hotel didn't even have air conditioning. It's over 30 degrees Celsius in Brussels right now, so it's very difficult to "survive" without it. Even so, we checked in and went up to the room... When we entered, the carpet was so dirty it was scary to even walk on it with shoes, there were no pillows, only cushions, and on top of that... they looked dirty, with stains... A disaster. The window couldn't even be opened; it was closed, and if you add the lack of air conditioning, it was like an oven. The elevator didn't even work properly, absolutely everything was filthy, and it was disgusting to sleep there. We finally left because the agency managed to change our hotel. On top of that, the hotel was incredibly expensive for the minimal amenities it offered. Please don't stay there. I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. The staff was very unpleasant and unfriendly; they offered no solutions whatsoever. In short, they told you to comb your hair and leave. DO NOT stay there. It's a scam. False advertising. The photos on Booking.com and all the others are completely unrelated to reality.

The AC does not work, and it gets really hot at night. The location is beautiful, but with the heat and the noise combined at night, not worth the cost. Get yourself a better room with air conditioning. They don’t even provide a damn fan.

The downsides: - Tiny bathroom - Gloomy breakfast room atmosphere - Basic to mediocre breakfast - Broken air conditioning - Broken TV The upsides: - Spacious room - Friendly staff - Nice neighborhood Overall value for money: It's quite expensive for what it is

It's currently under renovation, and they don't warn guests about the situation. We were given a room on the sixth floor, and the elevator wasn't working, nor was the air conditioning. I saw elderly people struggling to get upstairs. Everything was dirty because of the construction. The hotel didn't refund a single cent of the money charged by Booking.com. I'm giving it one star for the reception staff, who were very friendly. I don't recommend it at this time.

ACCESSIBLE TO ALL RESTAURANT BAR HISTORIC MONUMENT

They didn't warn us that the elevator was out of service (had we known, we wouldn't have stayed here) and they put us on the sixth floor with no possibility of changing floors. Everything is very old and in poor condition. The service staircase is like a haunted house.
