Hôtel Le Berger

The prices are far too high for the quality of the room (fallen wallpaper, patched-up plasterwork, dark bathroom, carpet held together with staples, small room with a double bed pushed up against the wall...). Avoid at all costs!

I stayed here on the 22/04/26 and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The pictures shown on the website are not what I walked into. It was located in a dodgy alleyway where a man was weeing outside. In my room, there were no external windows as shown on the website; there was a hatch that looked out onto a shaft/wall. The door handle was very loose, practically falling off, which made me feel very uneasy as a solo traveller. The decor was creepy af and made me feel like I was in a 70s horror film, and the television was for display purposes only as i could not access any channels! The walls were extremely thin, so I could hear all goings on. This was a terrible experience and I suggest you update your website and pictures so people know what they are getting themselves into.

My boyfriend and I spent two nights at this hotel. The location was excellent, the room service was very good, and it was clean. The only slight drawback was the very small elevator and the construction work which woke us up early in the morning, but we completely understand that the hotel is undergoing renovations.

We often choose the Hotel Le Berger, but unfortunately, the more years go by, the more disastrous the hotel becomes. In our room, none of the extra lights worked, the mirror was broken, the sink was broken... And to top it all off, there was construction work above our room—hammering and all that—waking us up at 8 a.m. on a Saturday. No one had warned us about the work, and we were given a room right below it. The hotel was great 5 or 6 years ago... but that's it for us; we're choosing another hotel.

Well, the location of the hotel is great, price reasonable, great breakfast buffet and very kind receptionist. However, the hotel is obviously very old and I would not call it rustic. The elevator is very old and small so with a bigger lagguage it is hard to fit. The room was like an old very low cost hostel room and very poorly equipped. No cupboard, no hanger, just doubble bad and a chair, the sink was in the room, very old carpet and a little tiny bathroom where you have toilet and a shower in 1m². The bed was clean and comfortable but that's it. Due to the old window it was very noisy. I will not book this hotel again.

A hotel unlike anything I've ever seen. Very original. It's very well located and the service is excellent. Plus, it's air-conditioned and has a pool, which is always a bonus. Highly recommended for exploring the most beautiful parts of Brussels on foot.

Nice little room, a bit dated but clean. Quiet street in the city center. Very welcoming service.
