Klavertje Lier

We spent a weekend at Klavertje Lier with a few couples we have known for a long time. We made use of both apartments. Both are fantastically equipped; absolutely everything is there (including, for example, mosquito nets, air conditioning, and good free loan bikes)! Veerle and Ben are accommodating and hospitable in every way, and the surroundings are amazing. On the sun-drenched Saturday of our weekend, for example, we cycled along the Nete to the charming and beautiful city of Mechelen using the loan bikes. Lier is also well worth a visit. An unforgettable experience in a beautifully renovated farmhouse; the largest apartment, for instance, has floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the landscape behind it and the chickens in the (large) garden at the back. Highly recommended, also for children!

Great stay

A very warm welcome. The apartment for four people was very pleasant, very well-equipped, and very quiet. Ideally located near Lier train station. I highly recommend this place. Karina and William

We had a wonderful time in a very comfortable, modernly furnished holiday apartment. The landlady was very friendly and always helpful whenever we had questions or requests.

We received a friendly welcome and everything was taken care of. A very nice place to stay.

We spent three nights at De Schapenstal in early June. The apartment is very well-equipped, and the garden offers plenty of space for activities. We cycled from Lier to Antwerp and Mechelen, both on excellent cycle paths. The cities are well worth seeing. We can highly recommend the apartment, also because of the very friendly and helpful landlady. Should we wish to stay overnight in the region again, we would gladly stay at Klavertje again.

We really enjoyed the hospitality. The holiday home was very well furnished. The large garden was a true discovery; a little further on, a roe deer appeared in the meadow, and a buzzard came to take a break on the roof of the garden house. We visited Lier itself a few times; we mainly unwinded in the library garden.
