Turnhout City Hotel

Stayed here 4 weeks ago. A beautiful hotel in a very beautiful building in a prime location. The room and bathroom are very nicely decorated. Coffee/tea facilities in the room and a wide selection of drinks and snacks in the vending machines. The terrace attached to the room is a very nice place to sit. Good breakfast with a lot of choice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Had a great stay.

A fine hotel in a central location, with very hospitable service. The breakfast is excellent and offers a wide selection. The rooms are neat and well-maintained, and the staff does everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible.

Beautiful hotel in an old station building. Ideal location close to the city center and dining options. It is a bit noisy in the evenings, with people walking by and traffic. We were on the other side of the tracks, so we weren't bothered by the trains (with a balcony/terrace). Small room, but fine for 2 nights.

The worst night of my life!!!!! We booked a superior room and were put in a studio across the street from the hotel. The bins weren't emptied, there were cobwebs behind the wall coverings, the shower door frame was moldy, the glass was broken, the window frame had no seals, and the door slammed shut with all the noise that goes with it. For a 4-star hotel, this is a rip-off!

Super staff, extensive breakfast included in the price. Fridge in the room, free water, coffee, hot chocolate, and a small bottle of wine that you can pick up at the reception. Downside: the restaurant has been undergoing "temporary renovations" for over a year and is therefore closed. The air conditioning in the rooms has been "under maintenance" for over a year and is therefore not working. There is too much noise outside at night to sleep with the window open. All in all, a decent hotel. Don't expect too much from it, but the rooms are affordable.

Best hotel ever! Great experience and lovely staff. What a great weekend! And the chef is also super cool and good! They're working hard to get their 5th star!

Nice hotel in a good location, friendly staff

The hotel is interesting, but sleeping in a building in a station that's still open is a bit of a bummer. You can hear every train. The first one is at 4:17 a.m.! And buses pass by right outside your window. The windows facing the tracks are a disgrace. And the view of the parking lot and street isn't very appealing either. Other than that, the hotel is a bit worn, but it's okay, with a good breakfast and very friendly staff.

A very interesting hotel, especially considering it used to be a railway station. Be careful if you are bothered by noise, the bus passes through the room while the train passes behind the bus. I personally don't have that problem. The rooms are small but functional. However, I have a complaint regarding the bathroom – the granite tiles combined with the lack of a window give it a cave-like feel. On the bright side, the breakfast selection was fantastic and everything was delicious.
