Hôtel St. Olav

Excellent value for money. Centrally located, 5 minutes from the train and bus stations. Very good regional breakfast. Room without windows; I wouldn't book it again.

The location is excellent, and the building is very stylish and reasonably priced. You can explore the entire Old Town on foot from the hotel. The staff is excellent—especially Maximiliano, the concierge; he is an incredible professional—very kind and proactive. He handled everything I asked of him professionally. The breakfast staff were also excellent and very friendly. I recommend this hotel 100%.

Good hotel in the old town

Very nice and authentic hotel in the center of the old town.💕💕💕

Unfortunately, we had a terrible room. There was a tiny window that could only be opened by rattling. Since washing machines were constantly running above us, it seemed to be a service room, which is why it was so hot in our room. Even though it was only 13 degrees Celsius outside, we were sweating in the room because ventilation was practically impossible. The door was also made of frosted glass, and since there was a bright streetlamp directly in front of it, it was as bright as day. We asked if the light could be turned off, and we were told yes. However, nothing happened… I asked again, but the receptionist refused. She should have said that upfront so I wouldn't feel cheated if nothing was done. There was also about 5 cm of space between the bed and the wall, which made it almost impossible to get through to the bathroom. The mattress was completely worn out, so you always slipped into a dip. There were also silverfish in the bathroom. Never again.

A nice old building in a very good location to explore the old town. The rooms shower was very small, the rest of the room was quite spacious. To get to the rooms shower was a long walk though twisty corridors and up and down 70 stairs, navigating the corridors and stairs with suitcases was a challenge. The interaction with check in staff was minimal. The hotels is used for cruises guests and then they all descent to check in together the lobby does not have space for everyone inside. Breakfast was had a limited choice and limited seating in large shared tables. The location was great for exploring the old town, a little noisy at night due to the strip club next door.

Super disappointed about their hotel customer service reception desk. We made a mistake on the booking but when we called they were very nice about it, and requested us to email them to make the change. However no response was received when we emailed them.
