Hotel Verso

For this price I would have expected a little more. The room had a view of the shopping mall corridor and the room was really dark, with little natural light. Otherwise the room was clean and the bathroom really spacious, although the pillows did not please our group. The service was friendly. The breakfast was good, but not as extensive as I would have expected for this price. The hotel is centrally located, but arriving by car was challenging. Parking in the hall was expensive and there is very limited space. When you had to leave the car in the market parking lot, it was quite a walk to the hotel. The hotel was not bad, but unfortunately these several details weakened the experience of visiting. We paid €155 per night for the room and €16 per day for a parking space. If the price of the room had been lower, I would have felt that I got more value for money, and the rating would have been better.

The breakfast at Hotel Verso was absolutely amazing. The amount of organic food in the breakfast selection was a positive surprise.

A lovely smallish hotel as close to the heart of Jyväskylä as you can get. The atmosphere is dark and stylish. The breakfast is wonderfully peaceful compared to chain hotels and the selection is suitable and all Finnish. A super plus is the lovely Iitalan Taika mugs, part of the pleasures of drinking coffee is a good mug. Clean, quiet and enjoyable to sleep here, the pillows are excellent. And when you step out of the lobby, you are in the middle of Jyväskylä's city center life. Have stayed here a few times and always had a good experience. The price-quality ratio is absolutely top class!

Sold to me on account of location (perfect), Sauna (didn’t go), breakfast. Room v clean, bed comfortable, courtyard side quiet, with all modern amenities, but shower weirdly very long and tight. Breakfast - my colleague’s USP for the place - a big disappointment apart from the omelette.

Coming by car is a bit tricky, due to the pedestrian streets, so it is worth driving the car to, for example, Tori parking and walking there. Also when coming on foot, Google advised the hotel entrance to be in the wrong place, the entrance is on Kauppakatu. The hotel is quite modern in terms of interior design, although it exudes history. The premises and rooms are very clean, the staff are really friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. You can eat well in the restaurant and there are a variety of options, your stomach will not be empty and your mind will thank you. The wine list is also very diverse, there is a drink for even the most demanding taste. If you had to choose between the local large chain hotels and Verso, Verso would definitely be the next best choice.

Excellent breakfast. Everything fresh and clean as well as the service. In the future I will always try to stay at this hotel when I am in Jyväskylä.
