Scandic Tampere Hämeenpuisto

As Italians our stay was spoiled by no espresso coffee being available at breakfast, the watery kahvi doesn’t really qualify as coffee for people from southern Europe. Every day we walked 20’ there and back to Bacaro Doppio to buy two tupla espressos. As we were checking out, we saw there was a coffee machine in reception that made good espresso (that you had to pay extra for) - we tried it - why isn’t it in the breakfast room?! Otherwise our stay was perfect!

Rooms need updates and therefore only 3 stars. Breakfast is what you expect in these 3 star hotels, it gets its job done. Location wise it is ok for the price you pay. My room was on second floor and sound insulation towards street was not good enough. Staff was very nice and attentive.

Good hotel and amazing gym next door

Stayed a week for a business trip. Nice sauna and decent vegan breakfast options. Breakfast can be a bit busy at times. The walk to the next tram station is a few minutes uphill. Would stay again next time I'm in Tampere. My only complaint would be that the doors close very loudly and you can hear pretty much every door on the floor.
