Mama Shelter Nice

I love this place, staff was so wonderful, rooms were cute, great location and the roof top pool and restaurant is a hit.

Had a very pleasant stay at this fun quirky location! Mama loves her time at the hotel. The rooms were a good size , clean and bed comfortable. The service was warm and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and lunch on rooftop pleasant. Dinner on Saturday night was wild , loud and great fun. We spent 6 nights and the only compliant would be that the dinner menu is limited and needs a bit more variation for longer term guests. Thanks Mama for a great visit.

We just spend 3 days at mama shelter hotel. This was our first time discovering this hotel and what an amazing surprise! The rooms are so spacious ( what in Europe is not allways easy to find ) also the breakfast was outstanding with fresh ingredients and plenty of different options. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Especially Eugenie who did the extra effort to help us during all of our stay. This hotel and staff deserve 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were a large group. The welcome on the rooftop by the entire waitstaff was appalling: no smiles, unpleasant remarks, we felt like we were bothering them. Cocktails and even a simple glass of wine were exorbitantly priced.

A lovely family dinner at a restaurant for Mother's Day. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor, the attentive staff, and best of all, they accept dogs – a real bonus, I think. Rachel took wonderful care of our Tokyo (a Shiba Inu). There was a small concert with a duo who sang some cool songs. Honestly, I'd do it again under different circumstances! 👍

We booked this hotel for a special birthday trip and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. At check-in, we were incorrectly told that we had booked the room twice (my reservation was through booking.com and I have proof that only one room was booked). Although the duplicate booking was eventually cancelled, the issue appeared to be on the hotel's side and was initially presented as though it was our mistake. This was not the welcome we expected at the start of our stay. On the first night we booked a table at the restaurant, where the service was poor. One of the staff was particularly rude after we moved table and told us that we could be made to leave if another table arrived (after being told by the drag bingo queen that we could move tables so we could see the screen). We were incorrectly charged for our wine, which then had to be corrected - the same waiter was incredibly slow to come see us to correct this. Food was pretty average quality. Housekeeping was inconsistent during our stay. Pool towels that were requested never arrived, used cups were not replaced at all, and complimentary water was not replenished. The pool service was really disappointing. We were told that towels were available upstairs when we checked in (as none were in our room as above), but the staff member there was rude and said we should already have them. After a while he said he would bring some towels to us. He never returned and the towels never arrived. We also asked reception to arrange a taxi for us and were told this could be done. However, when it was too late to make alternative arrangements, we were informed that it would actually be a private driver. At no point beforehand were we told the cost, which left us with an unexpected expense and little choice. Individually, these issues may seem minor, but together they reflected a consistent lack of communication, poor service, and failure to follow through on requests. Given that this was a special birthday trip, the experience was particularly disappointing.

Absolutely fantastic, the best brunch in Nice, definitely our favorite! The service is incredibly attentive and friendly…the gentleman who looked after us was LOVELY!!!!…we came as a family today with our four children and they loved it too, in short, there's something for everyone ;) and I almost forgot, the decor is gorgeous too…it's the best of the best, I tell you!

What a wonderful experience a stay at the Mama Shelter in Nice was! The decor was tasteful, the atmosphere pleasant, the rooms clean and comfortable, but above all—the most important point in my opinion—the staff were exceptionally friendly, smiling, helpful, and competent. "Mama loves you," they say? I would reply: I love Mama too! :-)
