The intern and nurse who treated me this morning were wonderful. However, be careful what you say to the medical secretary. Her job is to direct you to private care, and she clearly doesn't understand the value of a free, anonymous, and public prevention service.

Keep in mind that a CEGIDD (Free HIV Screening and Information Center) is not for routine screenings, but rather for screenings where information and advice are needed, and for anything requiring multiple consultations, such as starting PrEP. (This avoids overcrowding and waiting times for those who truly need it.) Your primary care physician will provide all the necessary prescriptions for routine screenings.
