Simple, clean, quiet - soundproof windows, good mattress

We stayed in a three-bed room, which was clean and spacious enough for the three of us. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ample and plentiful. My only criticism is that the breakfast room itself is very small for so many guests.

The hotel is in good condition; the room furnishings don't seem old. The bathroom is quite small, but perfectly adequate and clean. Breakfast was also good.

The hotel is relatively new. The facilities and rooms are modern and very clean, which I really liked. The price/performance ratio was excellent. There is ample parking, but in my opinion, the price is too high – unfortunately, that's become the norm these days. I can't comment on the quality of the breakfast, but what I saw on other guests' tables looked appealing. What I didn't like was that the online check-in didn't work, and the phone call to the hotel was completely unhelpful. There was clearly a language barrier; the employee didn't grasp the problem at all because she couldn't understand me. Checking in on-site wasn't much better. Furthermore, it wasn't possible to get a separate invoice for the parking. Overall, communication was rather difficult. Nevertheless, I would stay here again and recommend the hotel because the communication problems aren't a major issue. However, it's a shame, as they somewhat marred the overall experience. Difficult for those who cannot read or write.

I stayed at your hotel (room 308) from May 3rd to May 4th, 2026, and was very satisfied with my stay overall. The room was nicely furnished, the air conditioning worked perfectly, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size. The staff was also consistently friendly and helpful. However, I did notice two minor issues: My window faced directly opposite the Westbahnhof train station, so passengers could sometimes see right into the room – this was a bit disconcerting. I also observed that strangers were occasionally behind the reception desk using the tablet. While they seemed to know the staff member, it still bothered me somewhat. Aside from these minor issues, it was a pleasant stay, and I felt very comfortable.

Good location, hassle-free check-in and check-out, very clean, good breakfast buffet, friendly staff, would gladly stay again.

Beware of fraudulent charges! I booked two hotel rooms through Check24 and canceled them free of charge in time. Despite this, the full amount was charged to my credit card after the cancellation. In response to my written inquiry, I was told that the hotel had refunded the erroneously charged amount to Check24. This was a lie, as Check24 has since informed me. I still haven't received my money back, the BB Hotel Bochum-City is no longer responding to my inquiries, and the BB Hotel Group was also unable to help me. Now I have to take legal action against the hotel. My advice: Do not give your credit card number to this hotel and always check your statements, even a few days after your stay or a cancellation. ***Regarding the hotel's response (see below): It is not true that the charge was processed through Check24. The charge was made directly by the hotel four days AFTER the free cancellation. I booked the rooms for March 26, 2026, cancelled them free of charge in good time, and the hotel charged my credit card directly on March 30, 2026. Therefore, a separate statement was completely unnecessary. For this reason, I consider these charges fraudulent.
