Perfect stay.

Modern City Hotel in a Great Location with a Beautiful Rooftop Bar The Basecamp Hotel Dortmund is ideally located in the eastern part of the city and is also suitable for guests arriving by car. The parking garage, which is directly connected to the reception area by elevator, is particularly convenient. We also found the parking rate of €16 for 24 hours to be very reasonable. Check-in was straightforward, the staff were friendly, and we immediately felt welcome. A definite highlight of the hotel is located on the 6th floor: the rooftop bar and restaurant, where the breakfast buffet is also served. While we didn't use the breakfast buffet, the rooftop bar is a wonderful place for a sundowner and offers a very pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are modern, practically furnished, and generally functional. We liked the furnishings, and the price was perfectly acceptable. However, we were less impressed with the rather firm mattresses and the somewhat unusual pillow combination of one large and one small pillow. The bathroom is generally fine, however, the glass shower screen is a bit too short, which inevitably means you get part of the bathroom wet while showering. Another positive point is the hotel's gym on the 6th floor, which is really well-equipped for a hotel gym. A small note: some of the lower floors contain student apartments, which is something to be aware of, but it didn't bother us during our short stay. All in all, we were satisfied. We can definitely recommend the Basecamp Hotel for a short stay in Dortmund.

The hotel's main strengths are its very friendly and helpful staff and its convenient central location. Many attractions and restaurants are within easy reach. However, there are also some drawbacks: It was quite noisy overall, and the room got very warm at times. Some of the furniture looked a bit worn. Also, be aware that the kitchen is not equipped – there is no cutlery, dishes, or pots. Overall, it's okay for a short stay, with some room for improvement.

Functional rooms, clean, simply furnished. What's fantastic are the sports facilities – two fitness options. The hotel itself is right in the center, so if you want to go out in the evening, you don't have to walk far. There's a Rewe supermarket next door. Parking isn't a problem either, as they have a nice parking garage.

The hotel is well-located, with a sufficiently sized room and bathroom, complete with a kettle and mugs. The bed is large, though the mattress may not be for everyone – it's firm. Friendly service.

The room was okay. Breakfast was very good. The only downside was the lack of parking. Parking was only available in the parking garage, which cost €16 per day.

Everything was great, but breakfast was only offered as a buffet on Sunday, and we wanted a smaller breakfast. There's a bakery across the street, though. Parking in the underground garage is offered for €16 per day, as long as there's space. However, there wasn't, so we had to park in the Contipark underground garage next door for twice the price.

Great location, but not very clean and the internet is very slow. A flop for business trips.
