Auberge de jeunesse DJH Duisburg Landscape Park

Room: Great size, with a table and four chairs. The beds were okay. The windows were difficult to close. Service: The reception was barely used...at check-in, I would have appreciated some information about the room's location, as we had to search for it. The breakfast staff were always busy clearing and replenishing the buffet. Location: Perfect for exploring the landscape park during the day and in the evening. Parking was available at the youth hostel.

We were here on a school trip. Overall, I'm very satisfied with everything. The food selection is great. There's a hot meal for lunch and dinner, and always a salad bar. It would be nice if coffee was available at lunchtime, as it's only served in the morning. Otherwise, there's always a selection of teas. It would be nice if there was soap in the children's rooms. The hotel rooms are fully equipped (including a TV). I highly recommend this youth hostel.

The location is great (at least by car), as you can walk directly into the park. There was also plenty of parking. The room was perfectly fine. It was quiet. However, the curtains were very thin, and bright light shone in all night. The staff was very friendly. What annoyed me a bit: I was asked in advance via email if we were vegan. I confirmed this and said I would appreciate a vegan milk alternative. This was even confirmed by email. Despite this, there was only cow's milk at breakfast. Unfortunately, I couldn't ask any staff because there was never anyone in the dining room. The coffee was also quite bad. At least there was a wide selection of fresh fruit.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable. It's still a youth hostel like in the old days, but everything was perfectly fine.

A very nice hostel. Well-maintained, clean, and modern. Our room was great; we were very satisfied. The food was also excellent, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Oh yes, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would gladly come back.

I find the games room strange.
