AIDS-Hilfe Stuttgart e.V.

I think it's fantastic that we can use the premises of AIDS-Hilfe Stuttgart for our "Prosecco Prostate Cancer Self-Help Group" for gay, queer, bisexual, intersex, and trans* people for our group meetings. And through their public relations work, their network, and their other support, they have significantly contributed to raising awareness of our group. I can only thank the dedicated team. It's wonderful how they support volunteers. AIDS-Hilfe has become a comprehensive, easily accessible healthcare provider for the community, addressing far more than just HIV. One more point: gay and bisexual men are at higher risk of HIV infection after prostate removal and/or radiation therapy than heterosexual men. Because things often don't work properly "down there" anymore (erectile dysfunction), some resort to passive anal sex, often unprotected. In that respect, we are also thematically well-positioned at AIDS-Hilfe.
