The Modernist Thessaloniki

Had a lovely stay at the Modernist hotel. Great location, very friendly sevice with a nice breakfast on the rooftop. The room felt a bit dark, but was quite large. Bed was comfy and bathroom very nice. Location in the city center can't be beat.

The hotel is in a perfect location, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the service is exceptional, and the rooms are spotless. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I travel quite a bit and I have to say I couldn’t think of one improvement this little hotel needs. My stay was absolutely perfect. Nice clean and cool rooms with everyone you need in them. Lovely breakfast at the rooftop with plenty of healthy choices. A really good Coffe shop (I’m a coffee snob). Most of all a very very friendly staff. Thessaloniki can be hit and miss with friendly service. This place is lovely. I would stay here again. I heard they also have a location in Athens.

An excellent hotel with good value. Housed in a 1920s building, it retains some original features, such as the stairs and floors. The rooms are furnished in a modernist style, pleasant and functional. The staff is absolutely exceptional, friendly and always available. Centrally located, highly recommended for a stay in Thessaloniki.

Very nice and central hotel, the room was clean and comfortable. Good mattress and pillows and great breakfast. They also have a good cafe downstairs and a small art gallery. But the nicest of all was the staff, very welcoming and a pleasure to interact with.

Very disappointing. Our Ryanair flight was delayed by more than 5 hours and officially rebooked by the airline. I asked only if the prepaid reservation could be transferred to another night during the same trip. I did not ask for a refund, only for some flexibility due to circumstances completely beyond our control. Unfortunately, the hotel refused any exception. I understand policies, but I also believe that good customer service includes empathy and flexibility in exceptional situations.

Everything was perfect. I recommend it to biker travelers, especially the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. You can forget all your tiredness and have a wonderfully restful sleep. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I hope we'll have the chance to visit again someday ❤️🤩

Excellent experience at The Modernist Thessaloniki! The hotel is spotlessly clean, with neat and beautiful spaces that make you feel comfortable from the first moment. What stood out the most was the staff. Everyone was really kind, smiling and willing to help with anything we needed. We were traveling with our baby and they supported us in every way, making our stay much easier and more relaxing. The care and attention they showed was truly remarkable.

Very kind staff and perfect location. AC works well and the rooms are generally quiet. The design is modern, but that also means it does not have a ton of space to place your things. I do not travel with that much stuff but especially the bathroom could use at least a small table.

There are multiple things that set this hotel apart from others and make it very worth staying. The friendliness of receptionist is extraordinary! They are doing their best to make your stay enjoyable, keep you well looked, arrange things for you, inform you about the city and take care of the requests you might have in a great way. They try to help you even without you asking and are already ready to do so in a great way. Rooms are spacious and very modernly designed. We had a terrace with romantic day and night view of the city. Next time we stayed, no terrace, but the room was fun in it's own way and had big, nice windows. Breakfast was very much variety, and on the rooftop. Amazing food! There's also interesting literature in the room if you're up for reading. Marshall amplifiers make the stay even more authentic. The building is right in the city centre. Any kind of walks, shopping or just doing stuff is easy and accessible from there. They have fresh and really tasty sweets in their café next to the hotel.
