Hôtel Zenit Budapest Palace

A fantastic option in Budapest! The room surprised us with its spaciousness, and the bed was huge and super comfortable. The breakfast they offer is very complete and high quality. The best thing about it is its ideal location, perfect for exploring the main sights of the city on foot or for being very well connected by public transport. We would definitely return!

The walls are very thin between the rooms, you can hear your neighbor talking and taking a shower.

Terrible hotel

Nice hotel we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and modern enough. Bathroom was clean and had good amenities. Reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were responsive to issues and super helpful. Few drawbacks - I don't understand why the hotel is called Budapest Palace, it is in the shadow of the awful communist block Marriot building which is quite oppressive. Absolutely no view of the palace or anything at all. Secondly, the breakfast is a straight up scam. It costs €16 but there is no way to even eat €10 worth of food with what they serve. You have to ask them to make eggs and they seem to ask some guests how many eggs and others they just decide how many you'll have. The rest of the spread is terrible. The milk I poured on my muesli was warm. The hot dishes they had out were cold. The toaster didn't work. The fruit consisted of orange slices, some very sad, old looking rockmelon and some apple bits. It was honestly the worst breakfast we've had at any hotel in Europe after 5 weeks of travelling. My disappointment is immeasurable.

I visited Budapest with my very American family and the staff were very kind, accommodating, and extremely helpful, especially Mark at the front desk that took on majority of my older family's, seemingly, endless barrage of questions. He was very knowledgeable about where to buy things and helping guests navigate. All the staff can speak English very well, but they appreciated when my brother and I attempted to thank them and say "good morning/day/evening" in Hungarian. Hopefully, by our next visit, we can have a full conversation! We really enjoyed our time here and hope to be back, but definitely when it's warmer next time!

It's probably ideally located for exploring Budapest, although it's on a side street, so it's not especially busy at night. Breakfast was good, and it was very clean.

I stayed four nights at the end of April in this very well-located hotel, perfect for visiting Budapest. Beautiful, spacious rooms, impeccably clean, and a lovely breakfast buffet. The staff are very friendly. I would definitely return.
