Everything. Fantastic location, right on the harbor, great view. The hotel is a perfectly renovated old building dating back to 1821. The renovation is sensitive and very lovingly done. The details—shower, sink, fixtures, flooring—are very elaborate and expensive, with meticulous attention to detail. Someone clearly invested a lot of money. The entrance area is also very welcoming. The breakfast room on the second floor offers a fantastic view of the entire harbor. Breakfast includes a large plate of fresh fruit and everything else you could want. There's a Nespresso machine in the room itself. The rooms are well-insulated; you can't hear any other guests. The room doors are so solid and heavy; you can see and feel that no expense was spared.

The standard room was nice and spacious. The room was clean and the lighting good (once we figured out the lights are dimmable). The two soft pillows (per bed) were nice. The chairs were comfortable. There are only blackout curtains and no privacy screen/shade/curtain, which means it's either dark (closed), or everyone on the street can see into your ground-floor room. The blackout curtains work well enough. The Wi-Fi works very well, but irritatingly requires clicking a connect button several times a day to connect. Sometimes it just cuts you off in the middle of a phone call, etc.. The hot tub and sauna area seem nice. The hot tubs appear to be drained every day. The ventilation unit is a bit noisy and changes direction every minute; so the sound is not continuous. This can be a problem for some light sleepers. There are no large openable windows to cool off quickly, so be careful not to set the radiators too high! Our room was not made up after the 1st night, which seems a bit cheap for a luxury boutique hotel. There was no staff on site when we arrived in the afternoon (there is no 24hr front desk or concierge). There is also no room service or buffet dinner. There are also no phones or clocks in the rooms (so, no wakeup calls). There appears to be no laundry service as well. These are all things offered in their Google listing that they don't seem to have. Check-in was an email with a pin to access the property and our room. Our pin didn't work. Fortunately someone answered the phone and was able to fix it quickly. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't have roaming on our phones. The website promises "a carefully prepared breakfast featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. From Icelandic dairy and freshly baked bread to seasonal fruits, our breakfast sets the tone for a perfect day." On the first day, only small croissants and small cinnamon rolls were offered... No fruits, protein, juice, etc.. The 2nd day there was no breakfast; when I asked if there was any breakfast, I was told "no, sorry". While the rooms are very nice, I did not receive what was offered on their website or in their listing (no breakfast). The facilities are nice ****+, but the service and promises kept are closer to **. Overall, I regret choosing this hotel. They made promises they did not keep (breakfast, 24 hour front desk, etc.) making this pricy hotel a bad value; I wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend it because of that.

I stayed in this lovely boutique hotel for one night in March. The hotel is located in one of the oldest buildings of the town and has just been renovated with lots of attention to detail and respect to the history of the building. Before arrival a code was sent to my email for the check-in with all necessary instructions but when I arrived in the afternoon, the owner was even around and could check me in personally. I had a superior double room on the ground floor. A beautiful room with heigh ceilings and harbour and fjord view. The rooms are equipped with a smart TV, Nespresso machine, mini-fridge, cups and glasses and bathrobes and slippers. The room was very spacious and elegant, yet historic. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with a rain shower and high quality shower products. The hotel has small self-service bar with a wine fridge, a fridge with cold beers and sodas, some snacks and coffee. There's a little wellness area in the backyard with a Finish sauna and two jacuzzis. The area can be used from 4pm - 9pm. If you're lucky, you can see the Northern Lights from there. Currently there's no breakfast served, however the owner told me that they are building a breakfast area on the top floor where they will be serving a breakfast buffet. The hotel has a very authentic and historic character and offers a lot of comfort. However, due to its proximity to the harbor, noises such as cars driving by, people talking and I guess ships docking in the summer can be heard. I would still come back!

Everything about this property is great. Beautiful rooms, good service and location. The mattresses are quite soft, but 2 nights ago my back gave out. Didn't try the steam or hot tub - maybe next time..

Amazing location, right at the waterfront. Hot tub area is great for northern lights spotting. And extra points for the detailed decor, and homie vibes. I also love the locations, 5 minutes away from the downtown area, but without the disruption.
