The food is good, not amazing, but fine. We tried a few dishes, including the lamb which was unfortunately overcooked, grey and drier than Oscar Wilde. The cheesecake was pleasant. Service was ok, we were queuing out the door waiting for our reservation, the waitress chastised us for leaving the door open whilst we moved inside (middle of summer!) - not the most welcoming of starts. The chairs and tables are so tightly packed together my jacket was damaged on the back of the chair, overall and uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.

The food was good but more like okay than amazing. We really expected incredible food and it was just fine. - The mushroom risotto was good, average risotto, not creamy and weirdly sour - Caesar salad with chicken was dry and flavourless with chicken thigh meat - Salmon and meat were good - But the brownie dessert!! Omg this was next level, so decadent and rich with choc pieces in brownie and the portion was huge. Atmosphere was cozy and cute, you need a reservation as the place is really small. There is two floors, toilet is tiny and no baby changing table. Service was excellent! We parked on the neighbouring street.

Great restaurant in every way. Great food, very nice service. Excellent duck in the picture, order bread to enjoy the juice too. Great dessert brownies. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food in a turf roofed building. It’s quite small and busy so book in advance.

We had a few dishes among the two of us, the best of which by far was the cod with potato puree and cabbage. The reindeer was also tasty, but maybe a bit out of place, since there are no reindeer in Iceland :) All in all a nice experience.

My daughters and I just visited Reykjavík. Rok was our favorite restaurant. We at there twice! The food was interesting and delicious. The atmosphere and staff were welcoming. Highly recommend coming here!

This was our first stop in Iceland and it was amazing. Everyone talks about the food being expensive in Iceland, I really found the lunch special to be reasonable. That being said I felt like we were eating gourmet food beautifully presented. We all tried something different and everything was delicious. The service was warm and welcoming and you literally saw them preparing your food.

Fabulous dinner…from the salad to lamb to fish…yum! Highly recommend! + Excellent Service too!

Professional, innovative, simply cool

The food was outstanding. Every dish we received was delicious in its own way. I recommend ordering two or three main courses and then trying one of the equally delicious desserts. The staff is very friendly and incredibly attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, although it can get quite noisy. Nevertheless, highly recommended and one of the best restaurants in Reykjavik!
