NoLoSo is a bar at Via Luigi Varanini 5 in NoLo, the neighbourhood north of Piazzale Loreto in Milan. It's a mainstream gay-friendly bar, not a gay venue, drawing a mixed, young local crowd. People mostly come for the evening aperitivo, with a buffet included with drinks, and for cocktails. DJs play at weekends. It has a 4.4 Google score from more than 1,600 reviews. NoLo is a residential area with a growing bar scene, near the Pasteur and Rovereto metro stops on the red line. Milan's main gay strip on Via Lecco in Porta Venezia is one or two stops south.

Excellent pizza, with great ingredients too. What can I say? We'll definitely be back when we're in Milan. Make a reservation, folks. The welcome platter of ricotta, almonds, and basil was excellent. Friendly and attentive staff.
