Sauna Kronos has operated as Palermo's primary gay sauna for many years, serving the Sicilian capital's gay community from a location in the newer part of the city. The facility provides the standard Italian gay sauna complement: Turkish steamroom, Finnish dry sauna, darkroom areas, private cabins and a bar. The crowd is predominantly Palermitan and the atmosphere is accordingly local — regulars who know each other, comfortable with the space. The sauna is more discreet in its external presentation than northern Italian equivalents: no external signage beyond a street number. Entry is via an intercom. Once inside, the facilities are well-maintained and the staff friendly. Open daily from 14:00.
