This is one of the best brunch spots in Amsterdam. We had just finished at the Hortus Botanicus and made our way over shortly after. It’s a close walk. Thankfully I made a reservation because they were busy. The restaurant itself is cute! A large window brought a lot of brightness to the space, they have outdoor seating and even a section upstairs for larger parties. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. For non-Dutch speakers she spoke perfect English if you were wondering. I ended up ordering an Early Grey tea and La Charula. The tea came in a large pot and definitely had more to drink than any other restaurant I had been to. My dish consisted of tortillas, black beans, corn, guacamole, tomatoes, and roasted peppers. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My only minor critique is that they put the moist food on top of the tortillas which made them too soggy to hold. However, this is still an exceptional brunch spot and a must try if you’re visiting the gardens.

Such a cozy spot with one of the friendliest staffs I’ve experienced in Amsterdam! The menu has such a great variety, including delicious seasonal options. I highly recommend the Sweet Hot Chick, which was an absolute favorite of mine. I also really enjoyed their twist on cinnamon French toast — so good! Will definitely be visiting again!
