Vanilla Boutique Hotel

We stayed for two nights and our experience was utterly disappointing. A foul odor greeted us as soon as we entered the apartment. The rooms were dusty and hadn't been cleaned. The sofa was stained and dirty, and a bed was supposed to be made for a third adult, but nothing had been done. We pulled the sheets from under the sofa ourselves, and they didn't even smell clean. The pillowcase was torn. When we asked for clean sheets, the staff was rude. We requested soap, but they didn't bring it. We shared the air conditioning remote. The glasses were dirty, not to mention stained. The room overlooked the building opposite, so there was no privacy. The space between the two buildings felt like a dump. Because there were no mosquito nets, we were constantly bitten by mosquitoes. The door handles were faulty, the bathroom drain was clogged, and the television didn't work. The room was generally dark and gloomy. There's no reception; it claims to be a boutique hotel, but the service is nil. Parking is an extra 10 Euros per day. They charge the room fee upfront before arrival and don't allow cancellation. If there was a pay-as-you-go option, no one would want to stay after seeing the rooms. Because they know this, they charge well in advance. This was by far the worst accommodation experience on our 11-night tour of 6 countries. We definitely do not recommend it.

Please note that this is not a hotel, it is an ordinary small apartment building without any assistance or reception. We paid for 2 rooms with balcony, our room had no balcony. There was no toiletries (toilet paper) or drinking water in the room. Check out is by 11AM, we had cleaner knocking multiple times and disturbing us starting from 9:50AM up until we left. Building was very noisy late night with loud people and slamming doors. We would really not recommend this place.

I think this was one of the best choices we made for Skopje. The location was excellent. We walked everywhere in Skopje. We were very confident in our legs! Lol! Since we had already paid for the hotel, we handled all communication via WhatsApp. We got the hotel and room access codes, etc. We went straight to our room without having to deal with anyone. The room was amazing. It had two swings on the balcony. The air conditioning, mini-fridge, lighting – every detail was great. The bathroom was clean and adequate. The bed was quite large. The hotel was quiet (despite the walls letting in a lot of sound). It was very suitable in terms of price, location, and amenities.

We had a very nice weekend. Beautiful rooms.

The walls have holes, the rooms are filthy.

I do not recommend. Mess. Completely unkempt. Smells bad of tobacco. No wifi. Mr. owner, if you want to make money, at least spend more on cleaning.
