Connection Bar est le bar et club gay phare d'Albufeira, niché dans l'Edifício Vilanova Resort juste à côté de l'Avenida Sá Carneiro, dans le quartier d'Areias de São João / Montechoro. Ouvert depuis 2016, il ancre la petite mais authentique vie nocturne gay de la ville, et Google lui-même le répertorie clairement comme un "bar de homossexuais" (bar gay). Les débuts de soirée sont détendus et bavards, évoluant vers la musique et la danse plus tard dans la soirée ; les habitués le décrivent comme le premier arrêt naturel pour prendre un verre et discuter avant de passer aux clubs plus animés à proximité. Il ouvre en fin de soirée et se prolonge jusqu'aux premières heures du matin, et détient une solide note Google sur environ 185 avis. Les visiteurs seuls et les groupes sont également les bienvenus.

If you're looking for a place with good energy in Albufeira, Connection bar is an excellent choice 🌈 I highlight the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a great night out, whether with friends or to meet new people. The atmosphere is light, inclusive and full of good vibes. A special thank you to the staff — Tiago and Diogo — for their friendliness, attention and professionalism. They really make a difference in the experience! The music is captivating and well-chosen, creating the ideal mood for dancing or simply relaxing, and the drinks are high quality and well-prepared. Without a doubt, a place to return to 👏

We visited Connection Bar on our last night in Albufeira and wished we found it sooner. We were greeted by André who was welcoming, friendly and just the best! The drinks were made by Tiago, they were delicious! We got to know them both well whilst we were there and had a fantastic evening of drinks and lots of laughter. Couldn't ask for better hosts. We will be back next time we're there. Highly recommend visiting here!

We decided to try this bar with my partner, and overall it was a nice experience. The staff were very welcoming and kind, and the drinks were noticeably cheaper than in other bars, which was a great bonus. When we visited around midnight, it was fairly quiet with only a few people, so the atmosphere wasn’t particularly lively at that time. One small suggestion for the bar would be to add a sign at the bottom of the stairs, as it’s not very easy to find if you’re not specifically looking for an LGBT+ venue. That said, I would still recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxed place to enjoy a drink in a chilled environment.
