Parc Forestier de Monsanto (Cruising)

Monsanto is Lisbon's huge forest park on the hills west of the centre. The quieter trails and car parks around Alto da Serafina have long been used by men for cruising. It is an outdoor public space, not an organised venue, with no facilities and no staff. Activity varies with the weather and the time of day; warm afternoons and weekends tend to be busiest. Most of the park is unlit, so daylight is the safer choice. Stay where other people are around, carry little of value, and remember that families, runners and police use the park too. Be discreet.
