Nice place with beautiful sightseeing but not as splendid as I thought. The cable car is worthy only for going up. The return way is easy by feet. No restaurant on place.
magnificent panoramic views
Offers a wonderful view of the city, and it's a well-kept and clean area.
Great place but be careful of pickpockets especially when getting on the bus!
Very nice
Montjuic A must-visit destination on your Barcelona itinerary. Montjuïc Castle holds immense historical value. It’s truly mind-blowing to see the incredible vision and engineering that went into building such a solid fortress hundreds of years ago. The fortress overlooks the Olympic Port; from the upper terrace, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Mediterranean coastline and the entire city of Barcelona. To be honest, if compared to the grand, meticulous historic monuments in France, Montjuïc might seem less impressive. However, it is still a highly recommended stop when you visit Barcelona. The city’s urban architecture can feel a bit chaotic and cluttered at street level. Coming up here to the fortress gives you a much-needed open space and a perfect vantage point to look down and appreciate the whole city and the Mediterranean sea from above Duration: Expect to spend about 2–3 hours here. Entrance fee: €12 (though €10 would feel more reasonable). Cable car warning: Save your money and do not take the cable car. The distance from the transport drop-off point to the castle is very short, and the walk is super easy. I paid €17 for a round-trip ticket and felt it was a complete waste of money. It makes no sense why they built a cable car for such an easily accessible route. Highly recommended for the history and views, just skip the cable car ride. The local taxi drivers are super cheerful and friendly. They really made our commute a pleasant experience
Beautiful to see both during the day and in the evening with the fountain show
The views from this spot are probably some of the best in Barcelona. I would recommend strolling through the gardens. What I wouldn't recommend is going inside the fortress. While it's a historically significant site, there was practically nothing to see, and I found the price high for what it offered. I also noticed quite a bit of litter scattered around the gardens.
