Ponient Pirámide Salou by PortAventura World

Just got back home from a weeks holiday here and we will not be back. Myself being 20 weeks pregnant, my partner and 2 kids (6&4, 6 year old being SEN) and parents are not impressed for the amount of money we have spent on this holiday. The hotel food is disgusting, we were half board so got our breakfast and evening meal and we didn’t eat in the hotel after the 3rd day because of it. The staff are extremely rude, on the day we arrived we asked about a late check out due to not being picked up from our transfer until 7pm and were told to ask the day before, so we did. My mam was told not unless there was any cancellations and to ask of the morning of check out at 11am. I then went and asked and was screamed at in reception in front of a lot of people repeatedly saying he had already told me shoving his hand in my face. Obviously being a late pick up we had our belongings with us the whole day, my sons blanket that he uses for travelling got wet so I hung it over a chair outside, walked to a shop and within the space of 20 minutes it was gone. When I asked reception about it I was told ‘I shouldn’t have left it there and I can’t reserve seats or beds’ which there was nothing else I could have done when we didn’t have a room and was most definitely not reserving a seat when no one else was sat on any of the other tables. The cleaners are also very rude, a maid had walked into my room whilst I was in the bath and when I shouted for not to clean she helped herself into my bathroom anyway whilst I was in the bath. Absolutely shocking hotel and even worse customer service.

Hotel is nice staff service is very slow and as for the having to keep the same cup isn't very hygienic and a ridiculous idea I have never had to do this ever it isn't difficult for staff to just replace a plastic cup!!

Very clean rooms and nice and spacious with good airconditioning, spacious bathroom but the shower screen kept moving which was a bit annoying. The food was okay overall with breakfast being the best but dinners can be very bad, never get the rice, it is always uncooked and I tried it 3 times yet every time it tasted completely uncooked and was inedible. The pool is nice but can be cold. Staff service is up to standard. Overall this is quite a good hotel for someone who wants to take a short break in a good hotel.

Great hotel, close to everything on foot: promenade, sea, shops, restaurants, bars And PortAventura World. A free shuttle is available. The staff is lovely. Clean room. Everything is perfect. Thank you all, see you very soon. S. and JP. B.

I went for a football tournament, the atmosphere was quiet and clean, the service was attentive and both dinner and breakfast, the food was very good, varied and of good quality

Really enjoyed our stay here the staff were lovely and so accommodating to the point I would list all there names in this review if I could. The room was clean as was the hotel as a hole furthermore in a really good proximity to local shops and bars.

Good value for money. The staff is nice and cooperative. Try to find good deals or all inclusive package. It is possible to buy amusement park tickets at reduce price with hotel reservation.

We spent 10 days in this hotel. The location is fantastic, with PortAventura a 20-minute walk away and a shuttle available. There are also local buses for visiting other nearby towns and the train station. It's right next to the lively town center, with lots of shops, and the beach is a 10-minute walk. The meals were generally very good and varied. The room was clean, but lacked soundproofing. We could hear a lot of outside noise, including from the neighboring rooms, often until 1 a.m. The outside light stayed on all night, and the curtains weren't blackout enough. Plus, the light from the hallway shone under the door, which was quite disruptive to sleep. This was definitely the biggest negative point of our stay.

Frozen pool, dirty and outdated room, no effort made to communicate, and the all-inclusive food was CATASTROPHIC. No standards whatsoever. I strongly advise against it.
