Acorn Guesthouse is a small bed and breakfast at 719 Beverley Road in the north of Hull, a residential stretch a couple of miles from the city centre. It is a gay-friendly mainstream guesthouse, not a gay venue. Breakfast is a full English, Wi-Fi is free, and there is a garden with a fish pond at the back. Beverley Road is a main bus route into town, so getting to the centre is straightforward. It also sits close to the University of Hull, which makes it practical for visiting students or university events. Hull's small LGBTQ+ bar scene is in the city centre.

We stayed for one night , while visiting Hull University. Location was fab, but the place was very dated & dirty, we had a terrible night's sleep & left before breakfast as I couldn't of eaten there.

Janet is the perfect hostess, the house is lovely and I have stayed in five star hotels that are not as comfortable or as well appointed - and then there's the gardens! Doreen and Annie, who help with the room servicing are both a joy. I can't recommend this guest house highly enough, so much so, I'm booking two more weeks there!
