Incredible from start to finish. The place is tucked away, the staff are warm, welcoming and helpful and the menu is awesome. To get the best go for sharing plates but if you want a more fixed menu they also have one.

Ten Tib Lane is a bar and restaurant spread over three floors, offering a sharing-plates concept with a menu ranging from bite-sized dishes and small plates to more substantial dishes and desserts. There is limited outdoor seating, with just two tables, while the ground floor has a bar area with both tables and bar seating. The first floor provides additional dining space, while we were taken to the second floor, which was relatively quiet when we arrived but gradually filled up during the evening. The menu is well suited to sharing, with a good selection of small and larger plates designed to be ordered across the table. There is also a cocktail menu, while wines by the glass are listed alongside the main drinks selection and bottles are available from a separate wine list. Service throughout the evening was pleasant and attentive, with a 10% service charge added to the bill. Food and drinks Txakoli Primo A refreshing choice and a good accompaniment to the food. Coudoulet Cinsault – 125ml Served chilled, but unfortunately rather average and not particularly memorable. Strawberry Oysters A nicely presented oyster with a strawberry-based sauce. An interesting combination that worked well. Cheese Beignets These were more like round cheese croquettes than traditional New Orleans-style beignets. They were enjoyable, although the description perhaps sets a different expectation. Lamb Tartare with Crispy Bread One of the better dishes of the evening. The lamb was well seasoned and had a nice texture, while the crispy bread provided a good contrast. A slightly different take on tartare and well executed. Coq au Vin – 4 pieces A generous portion with four pieces of chicken and a flavoursome sauce. The chicken was well cooked but slightly on the dry side, so the sauce was important in adding moisture. Overall, a satisfying dish. Campari Jelly An interesting and quite unusual dessert. It came with a dehydrated half orange, although this was difficult to break up with a spoon. It would have been better if the orange had been cut into smaller pieces before serving. The ice cream worked well alongside the jelly. Chocolate Terrine A good chocolate dessert with a pleasant salty element that helped balance the richness of the chocolate. Overall Ten Tib Lane offers an interesting sharing-plates concept in a lively, multi-level setting. The food is generally good, with the lamb tartare and chocolate terrine among the highlights. Some dishes were more successful than others, and the coq au vin could have been a little more moist. The drinks selection is varied, although the Coudoulet Cinsault was fairly unremarkable. Service was pleasant throughout, with a 10% service charge added. Overall, a good option if you are looking for somewhere in Manchester where you can order a range of dishes to share rather than having a traditional three-course meal.

One of our faves, go to for any lil celebration or for a more fancy ish vibe. The food is reliably good, whatever is on the menu, I know I will enjoy it. Have also tried the lunch menu which was really good value and didn't compromise on flavour. The main reason for going back (aside from the food) is the cocktails, oysters & vibe. Genuinely one of the best cocktail spots in town. We love that its an intimate little space, with a great playlist and is just really enjoyable to be in there, the staff are really helpful & friendly.
